What's the definition of a pin-up?

Is it any one who's been in a calendar or poster? In that case all Playboy centerfolds should be included. Any Sports Illustrated models and most Supermodels too. (There should also be a Supermodel category for hotties like Laetitia Casta & Stephanie Seymore who have posed nude.) Why are pornstars like Uschi & Chesty Morgan in the pin-up category?
