Pokies is a colloquial expression for nipples poking through tight or thin clothes. It is mostly used for celebrities or other women at public occasions where nipples are not supposed to be visible. Pokies are generally not considered a wardrobe malfunction, although they are very popular at celebrity blogs and websites, as they show a little more of a woman's breasts than usual.
- In 2005, American singer Mariah Carey comes out onto a balcony and waves to her fans, wearing a shiny beige dress that is not fully transparent, but so tight that her nipples poke through the fabric and her areolas become visible.[1]
- On May 30, 2008, Meagan Good's nipples poke through her tight top when she appeares at the Spike TV's 2nd Annual Guys Choice Awards in Culver City, California.[2]
