Interview with Sofia Rose conducted by User:Dekkappai on February 25, 2009.

When did you start modeling?

My first modeling gig was when I was 4 with my mother, but it was more portfolio work and never went anywhere. I started to work on a portfolio again when I was 14. That didn't go any where either. I was to ethnic and my boobs wer already a problem for fashion modeling. When I divorced in 2005 I started over. New market, new niche, new ideas and goals for myself. After my first layout in BODacious I got a call from my ex husband "congratulations, you did exactly what you said you would do, that's so good for you."

You seem to have developed quite a fan base now-- did that start right away?

The fan base built pretty rapidly. I think it was a combination of my activity on myspace. I had quite a following from late 2005 on... Then when actually did something, they were waiting. I think the industry was ready for a something a little unique and exotic. Something that you don't see everyday.... My layout with BODacious and my work with Juggmaster launched about the same time, so it was great timing, and I just blew up.

What were your major appearances / activities?

Well my first site launched in Feb 2007. I did a second layout for BODacious for the cover. Other activities would be just consistant modeling work with Ultimate BBW, and for portfolio work with photographers who want to expand there work. Also did a music video for Slightly Stoopid out of San Diego, and Mad Juana. The Japanese people contacted zik regarding the facesitting fetish. Large breasts are a huge fetish in Japan so combine that with the fetish of smothering... well I was a shoe-in. They came to the states, I did not go to Japan. I met several peope but can't recall who all I met. It was filmed in Los Angeles.

How was that experience?

It was great they were all very nice and catered to me well. They seemed to think I was a big star, so they were very admiring I guess is a good word. I was flattered and just tried to the best I could for them... What I don't like is how its advertised as XXX hardcore when in my opinion it is not hardcore. So many people now think I am a hardcore porn star, and keep asking me for more video or I've had an influx of offers asking for me to work with people. I never had sex on film thats why the video is pixelated. That was part of why I did it. I knew about the censorship in Japan, and what is allowed and what is not allowed. So I thought its actually not that uncommon for a "fake fuck" scene in Japanese work. That's exactly how it was labeled in the scene description. The only thing real was the titty fuck lol. And even then..no one "got off" lol. That is also not allowed in Japan. It's only sold in Japan but of course in this day you can get anything from anywhere. So the U.S. market does think its hardcore, and men are paying 70 American dollars for what they think they are getting, and they so aren't getting it. I feel bad for them i'm not laughing at all... I understand the misconcenption. And I have selected one individual to start my further facesitting and domination endevaors. And if people categorize me as hardcore for that, fine.... I'm with same person each time. I have a personal limitation from the begining and for the most part have stuck to it. But I don't like clear up close and personal shots between the legs. So even on the Japanese video, what you see is pretty much all you see of that...

Have you done any videos since that one?

No actual videos... except soft core boob play on my site. Video isn't something I ever wanted to get into. If I do more, they will be on my site exclusively. And if I release a dvd, it will be only through there as well. I am in talks with a few poeple to help me make that happen... But with my limitations it is going to be challenging.

...and your modeling experience after that point (Summer 2007)? More major magazine or other appearances?

Not really. I'm very selective. I have had many many offers but I don't want to risk over-exposure. And because I believe I have a unique look, I don't want to be everywhere every one else is in my community. I pride myself in being unique.... to an extent I guess lol

Any reason for changing sites? When was that done-- fairly recently?

My new site is THE place to find me see and be involved with my life. I moved from west coast to the east coast. It was hard to keep up with everythig my webmaster being on the west still my site was expiring anyway in Feb 2009, so I started shopping for someone closer. It is all very recent, my new site launched on the 19th, and its doing better than I had expected.... My webmaster is very good, very creative. I gave her the layout and she ran with it. I'm more involved than I was before. I write my personal blogs myself right into the site.... and I find that a huge plus...

We've talked over your career-- how about personal details?

I think the big thing is that my new site is going to offer more than my last. More video, boobplay, solo work, and facesitting, domination, and smothering. I do live in Boston now. Most people think its a rumor. I still call California home, but I'm primarily on the east coast. I'm always gonna be a Cali girl no matter what but... I love New England. It's very pretty here. The 4 seasons are great to see, and all the history is great. There is much on the east you don't see on the west coast. And yes it's cold but I'm a very adaptable person so I've dealt with the snow pretty well I think.... I definitely appreciate warm weather now!

Likes & dislikes? hobbies, interests?

You don't have enough time for me tell you all that. But likes.... Good people, honest people, diversity and true openminded people... I hate it when someone says they are open minded but then think their way of thinking is the ony way of thinking... That's not an open minded person. Dislikes... Liars, cheaters and ambivelant men! Hobbies... loves sports. Baseball and basketball. Lakers and Angels fan, but also a Celtics and Sox fan....
