Sofia Milos (born on September 27, 1969)[1] is a Swiss-born Italian/Greek/American actress. [2] She is best known for her role as Yelina Salas on CSI: Miami. She has also had a role on The Sopranos as Camorra boss Annalisa Zucca, as well as roles in TV series such as the HBO network's Curb Your Enthusiasm, NBC-TV's Friends and ER.[3]

Early life

Milos was born in Zurich, Switzerland, to an Italian father and a Greek mother.[4] The family moved to Rome when she was a child. When she was 14, she entered a local beauty pageant, and after winning first prize went on to win the provincial, regional and national contests as well, receiving the title Junior Lady Italy.[5]

Milos studied business and economics at a school in Switzerland, and she studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse[5] under acting coach Milton Katselas.

About Sofia

Milos is fluent in seven languages.[5]

Sofia's surname is pronounced 'Mee-loz'. Milos speaks English, Italian, French and German fluently, and can also carry a basic conversation in Greek and Spanish.[6]

She is a Scientologist,[7][8] and she studied business and economics.[9]
