She is best known for her appearances on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. She is married to NBA basketball player Lamar Odom.
Kardashian is of Armenian descent, from her father. She is also Native American, French, English, Italian, Dutch, German, and Scottish descent, from her mother.[2] Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California[3] to attorney Robert Kardashian and Kris Jenner (née Houghton). Robert Kardashian died on September 30, 2003.[4] Khloe's mother, Kris, divorced Robert in 1990, and married Olympian Bruce Jenner in 1991.[5] Kardashian has four sisters, Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian and Kendall and Kylie Jenner, and a younger brother, Rob Kardashian. Khloe Kardashian also has three stepbrothers, Burt, Brandon, and Brody Jenner, and one stepsister, Casey Jenner.[6]
Early life
Kardashian was born to late attorney Robert Kardashian (defended O.J. Simpson in the infamous 1994 murder case) and Kris Jenner. Kardashian is a fourth generation Armenian American. Kardashian's family included two sisters, Kourtney and Khloe and a brother, Robert Jr. In 1990, Kardashian’s parents divorced after a 12-year marriage. Soon later in 1991, her mother, Kris married Olympian athlete Bruce Jenner.[7] while their father was a third-generation Armenian American.[8] After their parents divorced in 1991,[9] Houghton married 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon winner Caitlyn Jenner (then Bruce, she changed her name due to gender transition in 2015)[10] in 1991.[11] Through their marriage, Kardashian gained stepbrothers Burton "Burt", Brandon, and Brody; stepsister Casey; and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner.[12] In 1994, her father garnered public attention as a defense lawyer for football player O. J. Simpson during his murder trial.
As a teenager, Khloé briefly attended Marymount High School, a Roman Catholic all-girls' school in Los Angeles.[13] She left the high school and enrolled in a home-based school after her sisters' graduations, later saying "there was no reason for me to stay" since she "felt like I didn't have any friends." At 17 she earned a GED one year in advance of what would have been her regular graduation date – later saying she received the GED "with honors".[14]
