Dominique Furuta is a former IFBB pro figure competitor, fitness model, and former fantasy wrestler, also known as a fetish model and bondage model under aliases Ashley Star, Ashley Starr and as a dominatrix under the alias Lady Machine and Kelli Provocateur. She currently works as a professional dominatrix under the Provocateur alias.

Provocateur explained on the podcast The Lisa Ann Experience in 2018 that she began work first as a body builder and fitness model. She went on to explain that she naturally began performing BDSM as a dominatrix during college as an extension of her personal life. The paid portion of the dominatrix side helped her pay her college tuition. Provocateur's first scenes, ironically, came as a submissive for the series Hogtied in 2012 for Kink and then two scenes for Intersec Studios' Sexually Broken series.

Provocateur became a fixture on the Evolved Fights website and Ultimate Surrender as a wrestler for the next two years. By 2020, she moved strictly into dominatrix work. Provocateur has also been an activist for sex worker rights and Black women's health.
