Bex Shiner (born 1987 in Coventry) is an English celebrity and former contestant on the 9th Series of Channel 4 show Big Brother in 2008. She earned much of her fame by exposing her large F cup breasts while she was in the Big Brother House.
Life before Big Brother
Born in Coventry, West Midlands, Rebecca worked at a Kindergarten where she helped to look after four year olds. She was infamous for 'stalking' boy band members in her teenage years. Such unlucky victims include; "Hanson", who threatened Rebecca with a restraining order after she camped out outside their hotel room and continually phoned their rooms, and "V", who when she was fourteen she stalked to Disney Land Paris until she ran out of money and had to sleep on a park bench earning herself a notorious stay in jail after being arrested by local police.
Big Brother
Upon winning the right to enter the Big Brother House Rebecca, who prefered to be called 'Bex' or 'The Bex' when she refered to herself in third person, was described as a "party animal" and "fiery" individual. She provided highly excitable on launch night and throughout the early days of the series. She quickly made a name for herself by regularly flashing her endowments and walking around the House topless or with her bum out. Although regularly refered to as 'chubby' or 'flabby' by primary reporting body "The Sun" newspaper she was considered very sexually attractive and her figure was more often than not described complimentarily as 'curvatious'. Through controversy about her alleged weight she made other Big Brother Housemates confirm that her thong was indeed only a size 12.
Despite flashing her breasts at every opportunity present she enjoyed much public favour for being an exciting and interesting contestant. On Day 35 of the series she was put up, along with fellow housemate Mario, for eviction but was saved by public popularity vote. Bex and housemate Luke shared a 'romantic' relationship on camera, and indeed under the covers of their shared bed, but famously vowed not to have sex whilst in the house.
On one occasion Bex, whilst in the diary room speaking with Big Brother, cheekily told the house of her plan to strip off and convince the other housemates that she had been forced to. She appeared before the others sporting only a thong (later described as nothing more dental floss in between her large bum cheeks) and a towel that covered her bust. In explaining to the housemates how she had been 'forced to remove her clothing and bare her boobs to the others' she 'accidentally' dropped the towel; once again revealing her smuggly displayed cleavage. Much to her annoyance Big Brother announced over the House intercom that Bex was to return to the hallway and collect her clothes at once.
After spending six weeks in the Big Brother house wshe revealed that she had only packed one rather old, shabby grey bra to support her for the (maximum of)93 day programme. The public, according to "the Sun" newspaper, sent in bras for her to wear by the hundreds.
On Day 48 Bex was put up for public vote once again and lost. She left the house on the 25th July 2008 becomming the sixth contestant to be voted off.
After Big Brother
Bex returned to her home town of Coventry to a huge crowd of supporters. The mayor of Coventry even went as far as to say that what Rebecca Shiner did has 'had a a profound impression on tourism to his town' and that he is very proud of her as a county-treasure.
Bex and former housemate Luke continue their relationship out of the house and are often caught by tabloid newspaper photographers attending clubs and parties together.
