Bipasha Basu is a popular Indian film actress and sex symbol. A former model, she shot to popularity for her bold sex scenes in A-grade films.
Basu was 8th in The Times of India's list of 50 most desirable women in 2011. UK magazine Eastern Eye also ranked her the Sexiest Asian Woman in 2005 and 2007.
Biography
Bipasha is a Bengali from Kolkata city. She did one topless TV commercial before entering films. She went backless in her first film Ajnabee (2001), a rare feat in Bollywood. In the same film, she seemed to be fully nude in a highly translucent glass (though a body double may have been used). Her acting and sex scenes in Jism made it Bollywood's only hit of the first half of 2003. The beach sex scene (woman on top) in which John Abraham fondles her breasts was and still is very bold by Bollywood standards. She was was at her healthiest in Jism and became slimmer by the time of Dhoom 2 (2003) , to popularize bikinis. She wore six bikini tops in Dhoom 2. When Bipasha did a condom ad with her husband, both were panned by their fans as "unemployed". She has one daughter.
