Kacy Anne Hill is an American model, back up dancer, and singer.
Early Life
Hill was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona and attended Arizona School for the Arts. At an early age, she was influenced by music, playing the oboe and saxophone and singing in choir.[3]
Career
Hill began modeling at the age of 16 after being discovered by a wedding photographer.[4] She moved to Los Angeles after high school to pursue a modeling career which led her being represented by M Model Management and to becoming the face for American Apparel.[3] She is perhaps best known for doing a NSFW commercial for American Apparel's onesies.[5]
She got into music when she met director Stephen Garnett who later directed the video for her first non-album single release, "Experience."[6] Hill dropped the single in early 2014 prior to going on the road as a back-up dancer for Kanye West's "The Yeezus Tour." Hill shot the video for "Experience" ten minutes between her getting off a plane and going to a tour rehearsal. West had the song passed to him and he immediately signed Hill to his GOOD Music label after his show in Atlantic City in February 2014.
Her song "Experience" received international media attention, and eventually led to her first EP with GOOD Music entitled Bloo that debuted in October 2015. [7] She followed the EP release up with a collaboration with Travis Scott entitled "90210" on his own album Rodeo in September 2015. Hill would finish recording her first full length album in December 2016. In early May 2017, she released two new singles, entitled "Hard to Love", produced by Stuart Price & Oskar Sikow, and "Like a Woman", produced by DJ Mustard, Terrace Martin and DJ Dodger Stadium (DJDS). Both singles were announced as the lead cuts from Hill's debut studio album, which was titled Like a Woman, released on 30 June 2017.[8] She has also gone on to collaborate with hip-hop stars Kid Cudi and Cashmere Cat.
In August 2018, Hill independently released the single entitled, "Dinner" , while also teasing a new album to be released late 2018 or early 2019. In regards to her modeling career, she has stated in multiple interviews that she was not passionate about but was a means to an end and has no plans on returning to it despite being represented by the Wilhelmina agency.
