Karol Stephanie Castillo Pinillos (29 August 1989 - 11 April 2013) is a Peruvian model born in Trujillo, Peru. She is the only daughter of 3 siblings of Zoila Pinillos Seminario and Luis Castillo.
Beauty contest
Karol won the La Libertad beauty contest and the Peru beauty contest in 2008. Karol represented her country at the Miss Universe event in the same year.
In 2009, Karol entered the beauty contest Hispanoamericana (Hispanic American Queen).
Education
Karol graduated from the Colegio Claretiano de Trujillo School and then continued to study psychology at the Universidad César Vallejo. she was awarded the "César Vallejo" medal for her achievement as a winner of a Peruvian beauty contest.
Cause of Death
Karol was found dead on her bed in Queensland, Australia. Based on autopsy results, she suffer a cardiac arrest while preparing herself for the Miss Teen Australia beauty contest.
Karol's body arrived in the capital of Peru, Lima on April 25, 2013 and was buried on April 27, 2013 at the Parque Eterno public cemetery, Trujillo.
