Please use this talk page sparingly. It is for discussing topics which affect the entire Boobpedia project. Conversations about specific pages or categories should be carried out on their respective talk pages.

Two Articles that either need merging, or one needs to be deleted.

As I have neither the capability or authority to delete an entire page, and I don't know how to merge them. I move that the Kianna and Kianna Dior pages either be merged or the stub article of Kianna be deleted.

This affects more than one article, I believe it belongs here. DDrendar

  • Merging articles is easy. Say you have two articles, "Jane D." and "Jane Von Doe," and everything should really be under "Jane Von Doe." Take any useful info from the "Jane D." article, add it to the "Jane Von Doe" article, and then replace the "Jane D." article with #REDIRECT [[Jane Von Doe]]. Voila, you've merged the articles. :) The Honorable 15:24, 26 April 2008 (EDT)

Claimed Bust Size versus Apparent Bust Size

I think we should add another category to bio box.... Apparent Bust. It could be agreed upon in the discussion of each. It is ridiculous to have a DDD saying she is a GG. Just because it says it somewhere referenceable makes it no more correct. Jennifer Love Hewitt could put DDD on her website... Would we list it just because of that. It probably should just be in the standard format of A-G, etc. Single letters only, so a DD is an 'E', a DDD is a 'F', a EE is an 'F', etc. I guess the only complicated part would be some people not realizing that smaller girls can have a larger cup size due to the small frame. I think we could work it out... Thoughts??

For example http://www.boobpedia.com/boobs/Rebecca_Jessop Says "H" but I would say her apparent cup size is "E"..... msjayhawk 16:06, 24 June 2008 (EDT)

  • Concerning DD=E: There already is a category for this, explaining the standardised Boobpedia bra size: Category:Bra size. Only single letters, each one converted by the bra size template.
  • The cup sizes in Category:By cup size are organised that way too, implying that DDD = EE = F.
  • Concerning the H of Rebecca Jessop: To my eye she has more than just E. Maybe not H, but more than E. Which leads us to the next topic:
  • Concerning "apparent" bust size: There's no way of measuring this subjective impression. Articles would end up in endless editing wars, because everyone thinks the model has another cup size. And none of them is reliable. Encyclopedic content cannot contain assumptions or speculations, only facts. If a model says she has DDD, it's a fact that she said it. If this is really true, this is another question which can be discussed either on a talk page or in an article itself, if there are sources proving that the model lied or added a few Ds to appear more important.
  • "Jennifer Love Hewitt could put DDD on her website... Would we list it just because of that?" Yes, we would. Exactly. Perhaps with a comment in the article that this is unlikely, compared with other models proved to have a DDD cup. Double and triple cup letters are an American invention anyway. That's why I introduced Category:Bra size. It's comparable, although some countries may have slight differences in cup sizes (and every man who really knows a woman with a cup size larger than D or E knows that even the different bra manufacturers and brands have completely different sizes. Just go shopping with such a woman. In one shop she'll find a 34F that fits perfectly, in another a 36F or 34G or 34H, and in a shop with French bras just another size).
