Early years
Joyce Gibson's modeling debut occurred when she was just 18, in the March 1969 issue of Modern Man; and many magazine layouts followed over the next five years. Often credited as Joyce Mandel (her birth name). Her Russian-Romanian ethnicity provided her with exotic looks that added to her large natural breasts.
Career
The first re-emergence
Although Joyce Gibson retired in mid-1970s, whe re-debuted with a single layout in the June 1979 issue of Oui; she was a sensation, all over again. But then, she retired again, disappearing for almost 14 years.
The Alexis Love period
She re-emerged in 1993 as the blond wig wearing Alexis Love, primarily in Score and Voluptuous. Being in her middle forties, her breasts grew larger from 40DD-22-36 in 1969 working for Russ Meyer to 48DDD-23-34. She attributed her mammoth growth to a "hormone shift", but many people assumed she had breast implants. She was steadfast however, in asserting that they were real, even going so far as to certify them as such by the UCLA Medical Center.
