'Karen Hafter (aka Karen Howard [1], born December 27, 1954 in New York City) is an American model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its December 1976 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Phillip Dixon.
In an unusual circumstance, Karen was discovered by Playboy via another Playmate, Miss May 1967 Anne Randall, who saw Karen while she was working as a waitress in Los Angeles. After her Playmate appearance, Karen continued a successful modeling career in the area.
