Big Tit Monastery (巨乳修道院) is a 1995 Japanese film starring Mariko Morikawa released theatrically by Excess Films. Excess re-released it on July 28, 2006 as Paizuri shûdôin: watashi o, zange shite (パイズリ修道院 -私を、懺悔して!).
Background
From 1972 until 1988, Nikkatsu had been the dominant producer of Pink films (softcore theatrical pornography) in Japan with its popular and critically-praised Roman Porno series. When the studio went bankrupt due largely to loss of its audience to the AV (Adult Video) market, it still continued to release 35 mm theatrical pornographic films for another decade through the less prestigious Excess Films.[1]
Big Tit Monastery's running-time of 60 minutes fits the traditional format of a Japanese Pink film which had been standard since the mid-1960s. Three such films were shown in one theatrical billing for a program lasting a total of about three hours.[2]
"Catholic nun" exploitation films have long been a sub-genre of Japanese exploitation film. Though Catholicism never became the dominant religion in Japan, Japan did encounter Christian missionaries. It has been supposed that these "shockingly perverse and wildly blasphemous" nun films are "a way of thumbing one's nose at organized religion without attacking the more sacred beliefs of the general society."[3] Some entries in this genre include Noribumi Suzuki's Convent Of The Sacred Beast (1974), Masaru Konuma's Cloistered Nun: Runa's Confession (1976), Koyu Ohara's Sister Lucia's Dishonor (1978), Hiroshi Mukai's Nun: Secret (1978), Koyu Ohara's Wet Rope Confession: Convent Story (1979), Nobuaki Shirai's Nun Story: Frustration in Black (1980), Mamoru Watanabe's Rope Of Hell: A Nun's Story (1981) and Electric Bible: Sister Hunting (1992).[4] Released January 5, 1995, Big Tit Monastery is a big-bust variation on the nun-exploitation theme starring Mariko Morikawa, who had made her AV debut the preceding year.

Staff
Big Tit Monastery was directed by Sachi Hamano, the most prolific female director of the pink film genre. Hamano's career began in 1972, and by 2004 she had directed hundreds of films.[5]
