Tina Tyler (born July 16, 1965[1] on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada) was a prolific Canadian porn star, director and is the current director of publicity for Sin City Films. She created her stage name by combining the first name of actress Tina Louise and the last name of Aerosmith's lead singer Steven Tyler.[2]
Biography
Tyler grew up with her mother's family in Germany for the first three years of her life. She has said she was "painfully shy" and a bookworm in her childhood. She worked as a shoe salesperson and a receptionist at a modelling agency before becoming a stripper at age 19. She graduated to working as a feature dancer for eight years before entering the adult film industry.[2] She filmed her first scene in September 1992 with Sean Michaels and Jake Steed.[1]
She was married to fellow porn star Tony Tedeschi from 1993 to 1994 and to another man from 1984 to 1985.[1] She remarried in October 1999 to an unknown man.[3]
Besides appearing in adult films, Tyler has also appeared on the TV shows 21 Jump Street, Booker (TV series)|Booker and Wiseguy and was an extra in the movie Star 80.[4]
Between 2004 and 2009, Tyler has been exclusively directing films for Mercenary Pictures but in early 2009 also returned to performing as well as continuing to direct.[5] In early 2009, she appeared in four MILF-themed films, with the most recent being "A Slut Like Mom".
In April 2009, it was reported that Tyler moved to her native country, Canada to avail of cancer treatments as she "did not have time to wait for the Obama administration to do the universal health care". She expects that the treatments will be succesful and that she will make a return to the industry.[6]
