Nikki Tyler (born December 4, 1972 in Berkeley, California, USA) is a porn star best known for her work in the 1990s. Tyler starred in numerous musical stage performances while attending San Rafael High School. Later, she went to college in Los Angeles, California, aspiring to become a clinical psychologist. In order to help finance her tuition, she decided to appear in nude photo shoots. She graced over 100 top men's magazines, becoming Penthouse magazine's Pet of the Month in December 1995. Tyler then dropped out of college, attended makeup school to become a professional make up artist.

Tyler's fisrt dip in to porn industry came with her profession as a make up artist, when she was employed as a makeup artist for Vivid Entertainment.. During her time at vivid as a make up artist, Tyler did make up work for porn stars like Racquel Darrian, Janine, and Christie Canyon, who were by then already well established stars. According to her 2001 interview, Tyler claims it was during this time when she became interested in working in adult biz, but that she never thought she'll make it as a vivid girl as she thoguht she wasn't pretty enough. Nevertheless, Tyler began her career as a vivid girl, starting with softcore and girl/girl scenes only for the first year and a half in the industry. Her first on-screen girl/girl scene was in American Pie (1995). This was followed by a scene with her real-life longterm off-screen lesbian lover at the time, Jenna Jameson, in VR69 (1995). Her relationship with Jameson was documented in Jameson's autobiography. The two were together off and on for several years, and reportedly remain close friends to this day.

With her rising popularity and success, it wasn't long before Hirsh, Vivid CEO, convinced Tyler to become a full Vivid contract girl, officially launching Nikki Tyler's career as a porn star. During this period, in order to improve her popularity, Tyler obtained breast implants. She also began to work with male porn stars such as Rocco Siffredi in Nikki Loves Rocco (1996). Nikki Tyler retired from the porn industry in 1999. However in a 2002 interview she claimed she never retired. Her website was not updated since 2004 and now points to Jack's Playground.

According to Jenna Jameson's autobiography, Nikki lives in California with her husband and young daughter.

Nikki also as told in Jenna autobiography has had 2 other lesbian relationships, one with Jesse Jane and the other with Briana Banks, she describes her relationship with Jesse as "sizzling"
