Elsa Benitez is a Mexican Fashion model from Hermosillo, Sonora.
Career
Benitez began to parade after winning a modeling contest in Costa Rica in 1995. In 1996 she appeared on the cover of Italian Vogue magazine in editions of April, August and September. After being hired by the Elite agency, featured on the covers of many magazines such as Vogue, ELLE, Glamour, Mademoiselle, Harper's Bazaar and Marie Claire.
She has worked for the houses: Dolce & Gabbana, Macy's, Episode, INC, J. Crew, Oscar de la Renta, Rena Lange, Nine West, Valentino and Jones New York. Elsa has also modeled for Victoria's Secret.
Benítez appeared in the 1999 Pirelli calendar showing women through the decades. She was photographed as representative of "groovy" in the 1970s. She was also chosen to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition 2001. In 2002 appeared in the Enrique Iglesias video "Love to see you cry".
She divorced after several years of marriage to the Lebanese basketball player Rony Seikaly, with whom she had a daughter named Mila. Later had a romantic relationship for several months with Mexican businessman Roberto Slim.
