Dasha Astafieva is a Ukranian glamour model and is best known as the 55th Anniversary ''Playboy'' Playmate for January 2009.
Astafieva first came to notoriety after winning the reality TV show Stars Factory in the Ukraine. This landed her a spot in the all-girl Ukrainian pop group Nikita. Astafieva was soon approached by the Ukraine edition of '''Playboy''' to become a Playmate. She accepted and quickly rose to be the Ukraine Playmate of the Year for 2007.
In early 2008, many rumors circulated the internet that Astafieva was moving into the Playboy Mansion to become the 4th girlfriend of Hugh Hefner, who was dating the Girls Next Door at the time. This brief romance spelled the beginning of the end for the Girls Next Door, eventually leading to them moving out and breaking up with Hefner. Astafieva earned the title of "homewrecker" for the covorting. She has remained in the Ukraine continuing work with the group Nikita.
