Catalina Jane Guirado (born 19th April 1974 in Auckland, New Zealand) is an English model and TV personality. Father Spanish, Mother English.
As a child she was an extremely talented violinist performing at the Royal Festival and Royal Albert Hall by the time she was 11. At 12 years old she played the first violin solo of the Bach double violin concerto, D minor as part of the School's Proms at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall, London. She went on to attended the Guildhall of Music and Drama.
Discovered by British Vogue's booking editor, Catalina started modelling at 15. She went on to do runway shows for Vivienne Westwood, Scott Henshall, Michiko Koshino, and Rifat Ozbek to name a few, as well as appearing on the covers and in magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Cosmopolitan, FHM, Maxim, and Loaded. She also did campaigns for Wella, Charro Jeans, Toni & Guy, L'Oréal, and Lynx men's body spray.
Guirado first appeared on television in TFI Friday. She is most famous for appearing in the reality TV shows I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! and Back to Reality. Guirado has also appeared on Celebrity Stars in Their Eyes, Celebrities Under Pressure, and Bo' Selecta!, hosted Catalina's Clips and VH1's Spice, and was a guest on This Morning, Celebdaq, Celebrity Weakest Link, Ready Steady Cook, as well as many others. She also acted in the independent movies Blue Sombrero and Private Moments (2005).
She was voted one of FHM's 100 sexiest women in 1997, 1998, 2003, and 2004, and one of Maxim's 10 sexiest British Women in 2002, as well as being a lads' mag and tabloid favorite with her wedding covered in OK! magazine.
Guirado was signed to Universal Music publishing 2000-2005. Her song 'Shine' was covered by Welsh girl band TnT.
She married Matt Cheadle of the band i-94 at The Inn On The Green in Cookham Dean, Berkshire on August 5, 2007.
Guirado moved back to Los Angeles the beginning of 2008 with her husband to start LP33.tv, a content-based music site, with Andrew Bentley former FEO of EMI. As part of the founding management team, she is SVP Media Relations for the company as well as hosting various LP33.tv music shows.
As an experienced horsewoman she spends her free time riding her horse Grace-Kelly in the Hollywood hills.
