Lisa Ann Walter (born August 3, 1963) is an American actress, comedian, writer, and producer. She is best known for playing Chessy in The Parent Trap (1998) and Melissa Schemmenti in the ABC sitcom Abbott Elementary (2021–present).

Walter began her career in stand-up comedy before creating and starring in sitcoms like My Wildest Dreams and Life's Work. Her film credits include Bruce Almighty and Shall We Dance. In 2026, she released her debut Hulu comedy special It Was an Accident, discussing sex, aging, dating, divorce, and body image.

Walter has openly called her younger body "bangin'" and "hot," regretting not embracing it fully amid "heroin chic" trends, even joking she "should have done Playboy."[1] She has undergone breast enhancement and tackled body image in her book The Best Thing About My Ass Is That It’s Behind Me, championing curve acceptance and defying Hollywood fat-shaming.[2]
