Kayla Kleevage was  raised in Racine, Wisconsin. Once becoming an adult, Kayla became a bartender at several bars in Racine.  In the mid-1980s, a 20-year old Kayla moved to Houston, Texas, along with her family. There, once in Texas, Kayla began dancing at several clubs including Sugars on Broadway, Caligula XXI and The Ritz. After graduating from high school, Aspen Brooks attended cosmetology school for two years whilst also working at a coffee shop and a retail store on a part-time basis. Aspen Brooks originally intended to become a makeup artist and hair stylist but discovered the possibility of performing in porn after following the careers of multiple porn stars via Twitter.
