In March 1991, Rojinski moved with her parents from Leningrad to Berlin as contingent refugees. Her mother has a Russian-Christian background, her father a Russian-Jewish background; Palina was baptized Russian Orthodox. She was twice German champion in junior rhythmic gymnastics, which she had practiced since the age of four. Due to knee problems and six hours of daily training, which included ballet dancing, she gave up the sport at the age of 14. In order to moderate from the previous level, she then devoted three years to different dances. After graduating from high school, she studied literature and history for three semesters at Humboldt University in Berlin.

In February 2013, Rojinski and her boyfriend Jean-Christoph Ritter separated after six years together. In January 2022, she mentioned her engagement in an interview. Her partner is not known. Rojinski lives in Berlin.

In 2006, she appeared twice in the pseudo-investigator documentary Lenßen & Partner. In the two episodes, she played Kathinka Rumanova, a Russian ex-prostitute.

In 2009, she was hired by MTV to co-host MTV Home. She soon became a permanent part of Joko and Klaas' team and was given her own column, "99 Things a Man Should Have Done." With the channel reform at MTV, she moved to VIVA Germany as a presenter in 2011, where she hosted the Top 100, the retro charts as well as festivals and events such as the VIVA Comet 2011 and from the red carpet at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2012.

In parallel, she also became part of the neoParadise team when MTV Home moved to ZDFneo, and in 2012 on ZDFneo she also hosted the experimental TVLab, a competition to discover a new broadcast concept, as well as her own personality show Zirkus Rojinski. At the 2012 Bambi awards ceremony, she hosted from the red carpet and gave the laudation in the "Pop International" category. In 2013, like Joko and Klaas, she moved to ProSieben, where she participates in several other formats in addition to occasional appearances on Circus HalliGalli. From 2013 to 2015, the passionate dancer was a jury member on the show Got to Dance on ProSieben and Sat.1. Since 2014, her show Offline - Palina World Wide Weg or Inside - Unterwegs mit Palina has left her without important resources in various world cities and therefore has to make do with the residents. In 2015, she also hosted the hidden camera show The Big Surprise - Dein schönster Albtraum. In 2016, she appeared in an episode of the show In the Box, where she was given an insight into the German armed forces. In September 2016, she hosted a Saturday night show for the first time with Das ProSieben Auswärtsspiel alongside Elton.

Rojinski also performs as a DJ under the name "Palina Power". As an actress, Simon Verhoeven cast her for his two-part comedy Männerherzen. She played Jasmina in Detlev Buck's Rubbeldiekatz, and appeared in Florian David Fitz's feature film Jesus liebt mich. In the 2015 feature film Traumfrauen, she starred alongside Elyas M'Barek. In the feature film Willkommen bei den Hartmanns (2016), she appeared as the daughter of a family that takes in an asylum seeker who has fled the terrorist organization Boko Haram. In the summer of 2017, she was a reporter in Russia for ARD as part of the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup. She was again on assignment for ARD during the 2018 World Cup.

Since March 2019, she has her own podcast Podkinski on Spotify, which is released every 14 days. There she plays with her guests such as Guido Maria Kretschmer, Sylvie Meis or Olli Schulz and talks about their lives, experiences and stories.[9]
