Stephanie McLean was Penthouse Pet of the Month for April 1970, and Penthouse Pet of the Year in 1971. This gave her the distinction of being the first U.S. Pet of the Year.
A model for Mayfair magazine and a Penthouse cover girl, McLean met her future husband, Londoner Barry Sheene, in 1975 while he was on crutches following a racing accident. The couple emigrated to Australia in 1990. They had 2 children together.
