Jean Jani (born October 31, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio) is an American model. She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for the July 1957 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Peter Gowland.
History
Jani was presented as a flight attendant in her Playboy pictorial, but in actuality she was a reservations clerk with United Airlines when she was discovered. Gowland is quoted in The Playmate Book as saying that United fired Jani following her Playmate appearance.
Today
In a newer edition of The Playmate Book, Jani says she had totally forgotten about her Playboy work until her grown daughter presented her with a copy of the book's first edition, complete with pictures of herself.
Since then, Jani has returned to the Playboy fold by attending some convention events.
