Candice LeRae is an American professional wrestler. is a Canadian professional wrestler, better known by her ring name Candice LeRae. She is best known for her work on the American independent circuit, including promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerilla, where she is one half of the reigning World Tag Team Champions with Joey Ryan as The World's Cutest Tag Team. LeRae is also the reigning FWE Women's Champion.
LeRae produces a weekly YouTube series with her co-host Joey Ryan entitled: "The Candice & Joey Show" which highlights various aspects of their careers.
Early career
Since wrestling in 2002, LeRae has worked for promotions including Chikara, Smash Wrestling, Insanity Pro Wrestling, International Championship, Shine Wrestling, Shimmer Women Athletes, Alternative Wrestling Show, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Ring of Honor, All Pro Wrestling, Mach One Pro Wrestling, and the National Wrestling Alliance among numerous other promotions. She is a former two-time AWS Women's Champion. Her first reign was ended by MsChif however she later defeated Erica D'Erico and Morgan in a triple threat match to regain the championship in 2009.
Independent circuit (2007–present)
During August 2007 LeRae competed for Ring of Honor in two separate dark matches in losing efforts against Daizee Haze on August 24 and Sara Del Rey on August 10. On March 1, 2008, Gail Kim defeated LeRae at North East Wrestling Wrestlefest in a singles match. On October 6, 2012 LeRae defeated Katarina Waters at the National Wrestling Alliance from Hollywood event. At "QPW Well Worth The Wait" LeRae & Christina Von Eerie defeated PPRay Peter Avalon & Ray Rosas in a two out of three falls match on February 1, 2014. On May 10 LeRae and Joey Ryan competed in the Queen and king of the ring tournament 2014 defeating the teams of Drew Gulak and Kimber Lee as well as JT Dunn and Shelly Martinez to advance to the finals of the tournament before being defeated by Matt Tremont and Mickie Knuckles. On June 7, 2014, she won the Dream Wave Wrestling Tag Team Championships with her Tag Team partner Joey Ryan, but lost the titles the next day. LeRae competed at Shimmer Women Athletes volume 62 in a losing effort against Athena. LeRae made her debut for Shine Wrestling at Shine 20, defeating Nevaeh (wrestler). LeRae appeared for Full Impact Pro promotions on June 22, teaming up with Ivelisse Velez unsuccessfully challenging "The Lucha Sisters" Mia Yim & Leva Bates for the "Shine Tag Team Championships". On October 4, 2014, LeRae defeated Ivelisse Vélez to win the FWE Women's Championship; Marking the second major singles championship in her career. It was reported that LeRae was contacted to work for Lucha Underground promotions in early October; however LeRae turned down the offer. On October 18 & 19 Candice competed in three volume tapings for Shimmer Women Athletes however came up on the losing end against both Nikki Storm and TNA British Boot Camp runner up Kay Lee Ray in singles action. On November 30, LeRae competed for the "Queens of Combat" promotion teaming with Joey Ryan in a losing effort against"The Lucha sisters" Mia Yim & Leva Bates when Mia Yim pinned Ryan following a 450 splash.
LeRae first began appearing for Family Wrestling Entertainment in late 2013 as the fifth mystery tag team partner of Joey Ryan at the "Open Weight Grand Prix Final" event. On October 3, LeRae & Ryan defeated Ivelisse Velez & Tommy Dreamer at Refueled "Night One" following interference from Drew Galloway. The next night at Refueled "Night Two" LeRae & Ryan defeated Christina Von Eerie and Carlito. Later that same night LeRae issued a challenged to Ivelisse Velez successfully defeating her to win the FWE Women's Championship for the first time.
Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (2008–present)
At Pro Wrestling Guerrilla's DDT4 event on April 3, 2011, LeRae won a Joey Ryan invitational gauntlet match to advance to a number one contenders match for the PWG World Championship against Ryan later that same night, which she lost. On March 28 at Mystery Vortex 2 LeRae unsuccessfully challenged Adam Cole for the PWG World Championship.
On July 27, 2014, LeRae and Ryan defeated The Young Bucks in a Guerrilla Warfare match to become the new PWG World Tag Team Champions.[4] Known as The World's Cutest Tag Team, they made their first defence on August 29, defeating The Inner City Machine Guns (Rich Swann and Ricochet) and the team of Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian. On October 17, LeRae and Ryan made another successful title defence against Chuck Taylor and Johnny Gargano.
Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (2013)
LeRae appeared for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) at Turning Point (2013), wrestling in a losing effort to then TNA Knockouts Champion Gail Kim.[5] LeRae also wrestled a dark match for Ohio Valley Wrestling, TNA's developmental territory, in a losing effort against Lei'd Tapa.
