Aiysha Saagar (born 6 January 1980) is a pop singer, performer and glamour model. She is the official brand ambassador of Australia’s Gold Coast.
Early life and career
Aiysha Saagar was born on January 6, 1980. She completed her studies in Accounting, Law and Financial Planning.
Music is the driving force of her life, from the time she started singing as a 6-year-old, through all her years at school and Presently working since 7 years, Aiysha started her career as a glamour model and successfully became the face of renowned brands like Coca Cola, Vodafone, Johnson & Johnson, and others in South Pacific.
Soon Aiysha moved into the music industry. She is also presently an official Brand Ambassador of Australia’s Gold Coast.
Music and film career
Aiysha had released 5 music albums so far, and at present is aspiring to strike chord as a playback singer in Bollywood films. Aiysha Saagar work with Himesh Reshammiya for Arzoo Arzoo music album in 2012.
Controversies
In mid-2012, Aiysha created controversy by posing topless while being the Gold Coast, Australia's brand ambassador. Some Indian-Australian community members said that Aiysha's topless photo shoot reflect badly on Indians as "more than 60 per cent of Indians are conservative." Aiysha however contested that the images were not meant to be posted on Gold Coast's website but were intended to be launched in India to promote her career. "The whole point of these photos is to promote me as an artist," Aiysha was quoted as saying.
