Tracy Neve is a former English model of the Page 3 genre in the 1980s and early 1990s.
Born on 9 October 1965 not in 1968, in Warlingham, Surrey, England; Neve was signed up by tabloid newspapers eager to jump on the big boobs bandwagon after the success of Samantha Fox. Neve's impressive DD cup bust and Irish/Gypsy looks made her highly popular.
Before her modeling career on Page 3, Tracy sang with several bands, modeled for Wrangler Jeans, and acted in the British TV series Grange Hill, the highly successful children's drama that has been running for over 20 years.
At this time, Page 3 girls appeared topless only and in black and white—nude work considered to end a career. Men's magazines and nude work were considered what B or C list models did; Neve moved into this field and for a time could be seen nude in top-shelf magazines the same week she was topless and cheesecake in family newspapers.
She took part in a long running series for the magazine Parade run by David Sullivan, and went nude in Penthouse. Her work appears tame now but was raunchy for the time, appearing oiled up and in some shots, breaking another taboo by appearing nude alongside men (albeit fully dressed ones).
Neve also made a striptease video for the UK market, albeit playing the character of a stripper and not herself. It was little surprise that with the conventions of the time, she chose to go no further and soon announced she was retiring at the age of 21 as she was pregnant with her older lover's child.
Unfortunately Miss Neve received much unwanted publicity over the years since she left glamour modeling. Several news reports during the 1980s and 1990s exposed numerous problems with alcohol. In particular, one St. Patrick's Day in 1991 brought a highly publicised arrest for public drunkeness. Published news footage from the afternoon of the arrest show a highly inebriated Miss Neve staggering helplessly down Kilburn High Street in London. Two women police constables are then shown subduing and hancuffing Miss Neve as she slurs out an incomprehensible excuse for her drunkeness. Miss Neve's battle with the bottle is recalled by some of Britain's top glamour photographers on several internet websites. Some of the sordid tales printed tell of her showing up drunk for photo shoots, or her getting extremely drunk while waiting for the photographers to set up. Needless to say her reputation for drunkeness and sexual promiscuity while under the influence played a large role in her early retirement from glamour photography.
She is now married and lives in Essex with her husband and children.
