Laren, the eldest of four children, was an army brat, growing up in a number of military bases across the world. She spent her high school years in Germany. She worked in a boutique prior to entering the adult film industry.[4] Penthouse claims she also spent time in Hawaii. Laren was married and divorced prior to the age of 20; she stated that she told her husband she was getting a divorce during his second tour of duty in Iraq after learning of his affair with a colleague.[4]
