Clyda Rosen was a porn star and adult model in London in from the late 60's to the early 90's. She was a favorite of pinup photography legend Harrison Marks. She has been called "one of the most gravity-defying models in pinup history". She was born in Israel and moved to London where she made all of her films.
Career
Her film career began with her in a few of Harrison Marks's motion picture films, most notably "Unaccustomed As I Am", a 10 minute black and white film in which Clyda has to go through airport customs and the Customs officer starts a sex scene with her. It is thought that the Customs officer is the famous star of "Monty Python" John Cleese, but this is just a rumor. Some of the other films Marks made with Rosen include "Autograph Hunter", in which Clyda plays a groupie who breaks into the home of rock star Randy Tool, and "Dolly Mixture", a horror spoof in which Clyda plays the female creation of a Mad Doctor who indulges in mammary sex with the Doctor’s Hunchback assistant.
Clyda also did a number of still shoots and appeared in various magazines in the late 60's and early 70's and even did a couple of hard core sex shoots as well.
In the mid-seventies Clyda dramatically reinvented herself, having a breast reduction operation as a result of a back complaint, cutting her hair short and billing herself as Vietta Manning. Her ‘Manning’ era work includes the hardcore loops, "Siebzehn Jahre", "MassageSalon Elvia" and Marks’ "Tea and Crumpet" plus her only feature film role in "Sex Maniacs" (1977) shot in cloak and dagger circumstances by Lasse Braun and an all British crew using pseudonyms.
Clyda continued performing in pornography in the 1980s and 1990s appearing in the German Hardcore Magazine "Touch Me #1" ( 1986 ) and lesbian video "Tit to Tit #3" (1991), "Pregnant and Milking in the UK 2" (1994), "Busty Sensations #9" (1992)and "Hirsute Lovers" (1991), a fetish tape in which Clyda seduces a woman with extensive body hair. In keeping with her age these videos feature her in ‘older woman’ mode however her remarkably well preserved look in the tapes is closer to her original Clyda Rosen image than in the Vietta Manning period. Now retired, she has one son.
