She originally came to prominence playing the busty Bajoran dabo girl "Leeta" on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine from 1995 to 1999. Masterson has also starred on General Hospital and many feature films, most recently Robotech, Manticore and Yesterday Was A Lie. She hosted "Sci-Fi Entertainment" news program on Syfy and "The Fandom" radio interview program.
