Personal life
Shar Jackson's mother is of African American and Native American descent, and her father is of Puerto Rican and Mexican descent.[2] She has two children with her former high school boyfriend – a son, Donnie, born in 1993, and a daughter, Cassie, born in 1995. She was in a relationship with dancer Kevin Federline, who later married and divorced pop singer Britney Spears. She has two children with Federline – a daughter, Kori, born July 31 2002, and a son, Kaleb, born July 20 2004. Jackson was pregnant with Kaleb when Federline met Spears, and Kaleb was born while Federline was engaged to Spears. In June 2007, Star Magazine and the New York Post reported that Jackson was again pregnant with Federline's baby.[3] Jackson denied the reports in an interview with US Weekly,[4] and began pursuing legal action, stating, "When my kids hear things at school and then ask me if they're getting a new brother or sister, I have to put my foot down."
Career
Jackson was a singer in the pop group "Mpulz" and was included on the Princess Diaries soundtrack. The group released one album before disbanding.[5]
Jackson was featured on the ABC reality series The Ex-Wives Club with Marla Maples and Angie Everhart. The show aimed to aid men and women who have recently gone through separation or divorce. She won first place on the MTV reality show Celebrity Rap Superstar on October 18, 2007, beating runner-up Kendra Wilkinson. Though not given an exact date, it has been reported that Jackson will soon appear on an upcoming episode of Everybody Hates Chris. [6] Jackson confirmed on TRL that she had some meetings with record labels and that her song "Let It Blow" will release as a single soon. It was recently leaked in the end of November 2008. According to iTunes Jackson is and may still be signed to Long Live Crime Records. Her album should be released sometime in 2009.
