Pat Barrington (born 1941) is an American topless dancer and actress who was active during the 1960s, and appeared in The Agony of Love (1966, Harry Novak) and Mondo Topless (1966, Russ Meyer).
Life and career
Barrington made her debut as "Pat Barringer" in the Ed Wood-scripted Orgy of the Dead (1965). Her co-actor in the film, John Andrews recalled Barrington in less than flattering terms. "...she thought she was going to be a big fucking star. And she couldn't even scream and make it convincing. She couldn't do shit. And those tits are plastic, by the way."[2] According to producer-director Stephen Apostolof, at one point during the filming, Ed Wood walked into the KTTV station commissary wearing Barrington's gold wig from the film. He became the subject of jokes from actor Billy Barty, who happened to be at the cafeteria at the time.[3]
Throughout the 1960s, Barrington appeared in several "nudie-cuties" and "roughies", the most popular U.S. sexploitation genres of the period. Among her notable film roles are an appearance in Russ Meyer's Mondo Topless (1966, billed as "Pat Barringer"), and William Rotsler's highly-regarded exploitation film, The Agony of Love (1966).
