Joan Blondell was an American actress and pin-up model. Her first major role was opposite Jimmy Cagney in Blond Crazy (1931) and shortly thereafter she featured in Busby Berkeley's Golddiggers of 1933. Over the next two decades Blondell starred in more than 100 Hollywood movies, ranging from musicals to Film Noir, dancing and acting with such luminaries as Dick Powell, Ginger Rogers, and Fred Astaire. During the 1950s she successfully transitioned to television, made many guest appearances, and had strong roles in several successful series. Having once stated that "my 'can' got me into the film business", Blondell was also not averse to shedding her clothes at tinsletown parties.[1]
Often mistaken with Dagmar (1950s nudist).
