| I deleted the article because it was just one sentence ("June Palmer was an British adult model from 1950's till early 1970's.") and had no picture, biobox, or other info. But I was prompted by your message to create an article using the Wikipedia article on her. Sorry for any inconvenience or confusion I may have caused! | | Thanks, Apara. I've read that, but I didn't come across anything where Chesty actually says Busty was an inspiration. | | Hi, Apara. That is [[Kira Namikaze]], one of [[Akira Takatsuki]]'s [[Cinema Unit GAS]] discoveries. She debuted with them in October 2006, made several videos at that studio, and has been working in other companies since working for [[Oppai label]] in June 2008. The DVD you linked to is for Moodyz, a major Japanese adult video company. [http://www.dmm.co.jp/digital/videoa/-/detail/=/cid=miad391/ Here] is a link with more info and screenshots on that DVD. Its title is ''Bomber Tits Tit-Fucking Female Professor'' (''Bakunyuu paizuri jokyoshi''). And [http://www.dmm.co.jp/digital/videoa/-/list/=/article=actress/id=20050/ here] is a page with other works by her. Strange that they leave out the Cinema Unit GAS DVDs though, since this is the site I usually use to research that company's output... [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 09:46, 3 January 2009 (EST) |

Question on [http://www.boobpedia.com/butler/index.php?title=Harumi_Nemoto&diff=94725&oldid=94675 this edit], Apara: You seem to have meant to change only the image, which is fine. But you also moved the References section and took out the Ja-Wiki link. That wasn't intentional, was it? I'll revert those changes. If then were intentional, let me know why. (The References at bottom is an agreed-upon standard, as far as I know; and I've been putting the Ja-wiki link at Japanese model articles as a standard.) Regards. |
| |
|
| I saw that you support my efforts to establish the photographers on Boobpedia too. :-) However, I changed your category so that {{photographer|Harrison Marks|nocategory=1}} now has his own page and is listed in the category [[:Category:Photographers|Photographers]].
| | thanks for your efforts. Linafay is very strange, she has two different faces, one as a fine art nude model and one as a porn amateur. I thought this might be her... [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 16:42, 17 January 2009 (EST) |

| Creating a photographer's page is quite simple, there are only three steps to be followed, see: [[Help:How_to_add_a_photographer#Creating_a_photographer_page|Help:Creating a photographer page]].
| |
| | |
| I also replaced '''<nowiki>[[Harrison Marks]]</nowiki>''' with '''<nowiki>{{photographer|Harrison Marks}}</nowiki>''' using the [[Template:Photographer|photographer template]] when his name was mentioned within the text of an article. This automatically adds his category to the article and displays always current data if something changes.

| | ==Bettie Page== |
| | Hi, Apara. She's not a big interest, but sure, I'm interested in all the classic models. And if we can put together a better article than WP's, I'm all for that. I'm supposed to have access to at least two books on her, but last time I checked, those two volumes were missing... I'll check again. Also, I'll look through the newspaper databases I've got access to. I'll send you the information if you want to do the writing. I've been working on [[Sakurako Kaoru]] for some time now, and haven't really even scratched the surface yet-- just sort of finished her adult video filmography yesterday. Anyway, good luck on the project. I'll chip in what I can. [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 10:25, 8 February 2009 (EST) |
| | :Hi, Apara. I see I've got access to several newspaper articles on Bettie-- mostly from the 2000s, but several from the '80s and '90s and even one from the '50s when she won some award. These are all in .PDF format. I don't think we can upload those here, so how would you like them sent? I could make .JPGs of them with screenshots, or I could copy the text in text format, though text from these .PDFs of old articles tends to have a lot of errors. It'll take a little time, but I'll get the info to you somehow. [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 16:07, 10 February 2009 (EST) |
| | ::Hi again, Apara. I'm a little bit disappointed, because I thought I had a LOT of articles on her. Turns out the vast majority are on a biographical film made of her in 2006, and reviews of the books written about her. I did upload the 1954 picture, because that's of historical value, and should fit well into the article. It is [[:Image:Bettie Page - September 09, 1954.jpg]]. JPEGS might be a bit of a problem because many of these articles at 100% are larger than the screen. But I'll work it out-- Jpegs or text, where appropriate, and send it to you gradually. Cheers! | | :::Hi Apara-- Did you get the info I've sent? I've been a bit busy offline, and doing some non-BP work at WP in my spare time, so my work on Japanese subjects here has been piling up, and haven't sent everything I have on Bettie yet. But let me know if you've got it, and I'll send more later. Cheers! [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 16:11, 19 February 2009 (EST) |

| it's still under development. If I am working on it, it can have unexpected effects if you use it on a page of yours. But it's close to being finished. It preserves full downward compatibility, so you can easily test how it looks like on one of your pages by adding "new" after the word "biobox". (<nowiki>{{biobox new...}}</nowiki>
| | There was another link to priyaraivideos.com in one of the references. I found the original source and substituted that, and all seems to work now. [[User:The Honorable|The Honorable]] 01:03, 12 March 2009 (EDT) |

|
| But I recommend that you do not use it unless I have written the whole documentation page. It as '''a lot''' of new features which will all be explained on this page. If the new biobox is approved by the admins, they can change the biobox template itself by copying my code, and I will just redirect my template to the "official" biobox. This way all Boobpedia pages will have the new biobox, and you won't have to change a thing.

It can easily be applied to existing pages by changing the <code><nowiki>{{Biobox</nowiki></code> to <code><nowiki>{{Biobox new</nowiki></code> at the beginning of an article. It is fully downward compatible: All old data and functionality is preserved.
| |
| | |
| : You can see the new biobox "in action" on [[Natalia Muhlhausen|Natalia Mühlhausen]], [[Michaela Schaffrath]] or [[Ulorin Vex]], for example.

| Hi Apara, | | Hi Apara, |
|
| |
|
| thanks for removing "large areolas" from so many model pages. I thought I was the only one who disagreed about the labelling of 80% of the articles with this category.
| | I thought of this too a while ago and then again sometimes since then. I am not sure. There are some women with quite prominent tattoos (especially your niche of SuicideGirls), so I thought of adding this category too. But then I was not sure any more: What counts as tattooed woman? If you have a closer look, nowadays very very many women have a little tribal or a tiny star somewhere on their body, so I feared that a category like this could soon become overcrowded. |

| Hi Apara, thanks for the link. Unfortunately it displays the same for EU and Japanese cup sizes. And it's true: If you really want to '''buy''' a bra in Japan, the sizes are exactly the same. But as or the Japanese big bust pictorials, the cup sizes seem to become pure fiction. I guess these Japanese photographers and companies have a simple rule: Add 6 cup sizes and call it "metric" :-)))) If I compare a Japanese "H metric" breast with a European one, I'd only estimate it a D cup or so... I guess we'll never explore this secret... [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 20:30, 10 June 2008 (EDT)

| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| I saw that you added a band size of 36 to Vanessa. Where did you find it? I only saw her mentioned as having 44JJJ (which is not correct, we both know that, because 44 is her overall bust measurement). Did you calculate the 36?

| : Hey, now this is cool, so they finally changed the bra size to a real band size + cup... [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 23:03, 12 June 2008 (EDT)
| |
| | |
| == Band sizes ==
| |
| | |
| In general (assuming that DD=E, DDD=F and so on), one can say that it's like this:
| |
| | |
| * band size 34
| |
| * cup size D (fourth letter of alphabet)
| |
| * bust measurement 34+4 = 38
| |
| | |
| It's a bit more complicated, see http://www.pamperedpassions.com/bra_sizing.html.
| |
| | |
| I did this calculation for [[Aki Tomosaki]]. If you have real bust and real underbust measurements, it's possible. But be careful. Most American models give their '''bra size''' instead of their real '''bust measurement''', example: 34D-24-35. Therefore it is not correct that Biguns always deletes the D in the measurements field. The model's bust measurement is '''not''' 34, but most likely 38.
| |
| | |
| But as I said: Be careful. I only use calculated sizes if I mention and explain it in the text of the article (like in the footnote of [[Aki Tomosaki]]). I would not be right to just do it without citing or mentioning it.

| | |
| : Huh! That means every single header that is left from a biobox on Boobpedia crosses the biobox? Only the new one or the old biobox too? This is not typical. Normally the biobox lies over all other elemtents, and the lines end at the frame of the biobox.
| |
| | |
| : But why did making the picture bigger change that? The headers were still left of the biobox, and should still cross it? [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 08:09, 24 June 2008 (EDT)
| |
| | |

| == 48 bra size ==
| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| we have to divide this into two cases:
| |
| * Virginia Bell has a slim body. Her bust measurement (and I mean the "real" bust measurement) can well be 48 inches, that means the size around her breasts. But bra sizes do not care about the bust measurements, it's the '''band''' size underneath the breasts that counts. We do not have this measurement, so the entry in the biobox cannot be completed. As a general rule, the band size is roughly the bust size minus the letter (DDD = F = '''6'''th letter of the alphabet). This would give a band size of 42 - which is still (pardon me) fat. Virginia Bell is not fat. So we have to doubt either the 48 or the DDD. That's the problem with triple letters - they are the most incorrect measurement for cups. She may have a band size 38 (for comparison: [[Miosotis]] has 38), but not more. You see, Miosotis is already more chubby than Virginia Bell. So we have to leave the biobox entries as they are - we do not have proper information.
| |
| * Karola - that's a case of its own... Her '''bust''' measurement really seems to be beyond everything the world has seen, and she is really really chubby - if not fat, without wanting to insult anyone. But: See {{cl|bra size}} and look at the models with a band size of 44 or 46. They are really chubby already, and I've looked through many online bra stores if a band size of 46 does exist - it does, but it was the last one that existed. We do not have a proper reference, so I let the 48 stay in the text, but did not enter it in the biobox. Her overall bust measurement can easily be more than 48, but if her ban size is really 48 - I doubt it.
| |
| | |
| So I'd like to leave the bra size template as it is - this prevents user of giving incorrect bra sizes (some models say they have 38D breasts - but actually they have 34D and an overall bust size of 38. If too big numbers are allowed, the risk of storing incorrect data, because a user just entered what he read becomes quite high.
| |
| | |
| That's why I'd like to not change the bra size template. Or do you have another opinion (or a reference for Karola)? But I think it was Virginia Bell who was in your mind. Well, for her I can surely tell you that she never has a band size of 48. Unfortunately, band sizes weren't asked for at that time...

| == Server Problems ==
| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| it was my fault. I was saving a high use template which brings the server down for some minutes. I saw no one around, so I thought I could save it. Sorry for that. If I had seen you, I'd have told you.
| |
| | |
| [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 23:28, 14 July 2008 (EDT)
| |
| : Oh, there's a solution to that. I experience that sometimes too; I then get a "zero sized reply" form the server, with a blank page, even if I did not save a template. The back button in your browser always works. If you experience this, go back, copy the text you wrote from the edit field to the clipboard and try again. If the cache is corrupted or you do not manage to save (or preview) the page, you can always re-paste the code from the clipboard or whereever you stored it.
| |
| | |
| : [[User:Prophecy|Prophecy]] 00:21, 15 July 2008 (EDT)
| |
| | |
| :: Oh, yes, thanks for the idea. I know this page; some day I discovered the special pages and browsed through them... It helped me a lot when I was searching for the last pages linking to the old biobox, for example. Concerning the templates: Well, to be frank, there are less really ''unused'' than one might think:
| |
| ::* Every template with /sandbox or /testcases at the end means that these are trial pages to experiment with the code before implementing it to the original template. It's normal that they are not used (they shouldn't even be used), but they are very important. It's the saving of a high-use template that causes extreme server action (you experienced it already, unfortunately), and it's the sandboxes where you can edit a little thing, save it with no consequences for server and existing pages and see how it looks in the testcases. Sandboxes and testcases do take server ''space,'' yes, but only a few kB, and the do not cause any server ''load''. It's the calculating when a page with many templates is called from the server or when a high-use template is saved and the server tries to replace the template in all existing pages which causes the annoying server load and delays.
| |
| ::* Most of the other templates that sound technical are redirects to existing and used templates. I created those readirects to jake it easier for some users who might prefer another spelling. Again, these redirects do not cause server load, they only take a little server space.
| |
| ::* All the templates with "pornographic" names are affiliate links. On some days, I noticed the Honorable in real template creation orgies (again an orgy :-)), but I think it's necessary to have them, because they keep Boobpedia going. Well, the fact that they are not used means they don't produce money, but, like the other unused templates, they are very tiny and only take space, not load.
| |
| | |
| ::The idea with the unused templates was good, but as I thought of it, I found that they are not the problem. We seem to have enough disk space, but limited calculation capacities. That's why I started to create templates for each photographer. These are single templates and they are only called once - unlike the {{tl|nationality}} template, which is called by each and every biobox and checks all 66 countries even if only one single country is needed. I'll apply the photographer system to the nationalities. This will produce 66 new templates, but it will extremely help to save calculation time, because each template is only called once and only checks one single country. And when a new country is added, it's not necessary anymore to save the main template - which means that there will be no more server crashes like the one you experienced.

| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| cool work with [[Bunny Yeager]]! I just fixed a few things in the template. The most important thing is: Do not delete the "includeonly" stuff, delete only the # signs. I changed the documentation text a little bit so that it's clearer now. Perhaps you may want to give me some feedback it it's more understandable like this.

| | |
| : Sorry I did not complete the documentation for all three types of the biobox template. But I saw that you already found the hybrid type yourself. :-) You may notice that I removed a few occupations, i. e. all performer occupations from the biobox of [[BUnny Yeager]]. That's because in the category header, the field is listed directly after the occupation. Bunny Yeager did not pose nude, but if the last occupation in her list is "Glamour model", readers might think so. The same for Suze Randall, who did nude shots, but no hardcore, but her header implied that. So, as a general rule (which I just invented, because I just noticed the need): Blue non-performer fields do not contain performer occupations like model, porn star and such. :-)

I'm probably the wrong person to address to. I'm terribly bad when it comes to recognition of faces! Oh, but I started a quick Google search on '''"uschi digard" "bunny yeager"'''. Result: Many finds of "Bunny Yeagers Foto File Number Three" in connection with the full name of Uschi Digard. I did not click on the links, you may want to verify that. | == Swiss ==
| |
| | |
| Look again. :-)
| |
| | |
| Reason: I took the nationality template (wich was displaying the flags) out of the bioboxes for the moment, because it was causing too much server load in its present form. The template linked directly to the category, so the link was blue. The reduced interim solution links only to a page. Most nationalities have pages that redirect to them, but Swiss hadn't. I created it, so the link will be blue now.
| |
| | |
| As soon as I have restructured the nationality template, the flags and the direct links to the categories will reappear.

| == The last days ==
| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| I was away the last few days, so did not notice anything. Only today I saw that Black was replaced by African (which could be supported for different reasons, but would have to be discussed before implementing it the brute force way - my opinion). I then wanted to write a reply to your message and saw the whole thing. Moving editor pages is not what I call the normal way of communicating. I wrote a comment on The Honorable's talk page and restored your old user page. What can I say? The idea of renaming Black to African was not bad as such, but the way it was done could have been discussed. I don't know if you wrote him a comment before reverting his edits. Maybe that upset him too. I normally ask if there was a special reason before reverting, or write a not-too-offensive comment in the edit line. Maybe you both felt that the other was too aggressive, and that started the vicious circle.
| |
| | |
| I saw that you wrote Wufei was banned before, but came back with a different name. Well, if this was the case, there surely was a reason why he was banned.
| |
| | |
| As the number of editors on Boobpedia increases, the number of conflicts will increase too. I think you "old" and established users (perhaps including me, but I'm still fairly new to this all) should always presume good will first and perhaps ask for the reason of a change. I was quite upset when somebody changed the picture of an article of mine recently, but I talked to him first. He explained his reasons, I explained mine, and I had to agree that he had the better arguments. No harm done, each one respects the other.
| |
| | |
| As for the vandalism: A ban should be considered. But perhaps this all could have been avoided.

| == Re: Naked as Nature Intended ==
| |
| Ah... I uploaded the poster partially just to show you, but also in the hopes that an article on the film would be started. None are "big bust" you say? Not even... what's our lower limit? C-cup?... What is "big" varies a bit between time and country... [[Michiko Maeda]] probably wouldn't be considered particularly busty today, but in Japan at the time, Donald Richie called her "a star who consisted almost entirely of mammary glands." My feeling, personally, is that if it's boob-related, if boobs are of primary interest in it-- it belongs here. This probably runs a bit counter to the "big" portion of our statement of purpose though... The decision with Russ Meyer was that, since he is so closely associated with the big-bust genre, even his non-big-bust films have interest here (though even in these, I believe Meyer managed to squeeze in at least one big-busted extra or two :-) Is Harrison Marks similarly closely identified with big-bust entertainment? If so, then maybe the "Russ Meyer decision" applies in this case... So, I say, start articles on his films-- you might want to check with Honorable on this though. (I'll see if I can find other posters for you too, if you do start on his filmography.) Cheers! [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 22:22, 26 August 2008 (EDT)

| ::Well done. When we fill out the Harrison Marks article, this image will be valuable. I don't think we need to be so hard-assed about the "big boobs" thing as to exclude any mention of anything non-big-boob related. We want to create real, usable articles on these subjects. For example, some of my lists of Japanese video series include the non-big-boob entries, though those entries are not going to get their separate articles, while the big-boobed ones very well may. On Harrison Marks: I've found this back-issue interview with him.[http://www.psychotronicvideo.com/wow/the_past/15.html] This is a magazine I used to subscribe to, and will probably re-subscribe, and order the back-issue if you don't. | == Multiple playmate entries ==
| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| I thought of this too at the beginning. One Playmate was even three times a Centerfold. But then - Penthouse Pet entries. Twice? Three times? What if a model appears four times? Should we extend the list endlessly? The problem is that this cannot be done automatically, you have to have parameters for each appearance (i. e. even double parameters, for year and month). So I thought I'd leave this idea and mention only the first appearance. For other appearances I introduced the navigation templates later (which you are already using, thanks by the way for helping me to complete the system!).
| |
| | |
| I think this is a good compromise. After the nationality flags disaster, I've become careful with introducing additional parameters to the biobox... The server has to calculate very much with it.

| ==Japanese pin-ups==
| |
| Hi, Apara. Oh yes, they certainly do-- centerfolds, nude and glamour (bikini), pin-ups, calendars... you name it... I've been limiting myself mainly to the AV (Adult Video), just to make my area of work almost-- not quite-- possible to cover thoroughly. Once you get into the pin-up, glamour, bikini, etc... it's just goes on forever... [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 01:12, 24 November 2008 (EST)
| |
| :Well... I suppose it depends on your definition of pin-up. Most of the Japanese names under [[:Category:Glamour models]] will be pin-ups. [[Fuko]] and [[Rin Aoki]] are two of the major big-bust names (Aoki went over to AV/porn). Other big names in that genre would be [[Hitomi Tanaka]], [[Yoko Matsugane]], one called "Megumi"... The site http://aov.gijo.org/ will give you a lot of info/reviews on this area. One editor could spend full-time on this kind of stuff and never get it covered... For my part, I've been trying to add all of the reviews from this site to our articles on these models. If you mean centerfolds ''a la'' ''Playboy'', they have a ''Weekly Playboy'' over there, and if you search BP on "Weekly Playboy", you'll see the magazine appearances that I've put in on Japanese models-- [[Ayami Sakurai]], [[Anna Ohura]], [[Miki Sawaguchi]], [[Kimiko Matsuzaka]], even [[Naomi Tani]] in the '70s... They were all pin-ups, and in ''Weekly Playboy'' at some point. [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 02:15, 24 November 2008 (EST)
| |
| ::Ah. Well, the artform existed in Japan pre-1975 also. [[Naomi Tani]], mentioned above, back to, at least [[Michiko Maeda]] in the '50s (check out the article on her-- both illustrations used seem to be in pin-up form). I came across a newspaper article from 1955 on a group of Japanese mothers burning books to keep nudity out of the eyes of children-- so it wouldn't surprise me if the pin-up were not already a thriving artform by then. Wartime, militaristic Japan was quite prudish, but that seems to have been an uncharacteristic period. If you read my Wiki article on the ''Pink film'' (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pink_film), it'll give you some information on the post-war background which led to this type of softcore pornographic film eventually becoming the dominant domestic film there, in the '60s and '70s. And frankly, I prefer these interesting little films more than the AV... Though as [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaoru_Kuroki one of the more literate AV actresses] pointed out, ''pink films'' are for when you want to watch a movie, AVs are for more primitive impulses, for taking care of more basic urges. But I digress... :) Anyway, I know from first-hand experience that the '60s and '70s were full of pinups in Japan... though not very many of them would qualify under BP notability rules. It's an area I'd like to explore too, though it's going to be much more difficult than finding info on current AV actresses. Anyway, I'll look around and let you know what I find. | == Harrison Marks ==
| |
| | |
| Hi Apara,
| |
| | |
| I disagree. Harrison Marks is one of the most eminent pin-up (and big bust) photographers of his time. If someone is searching for material about him and finds the Boobpedia article, he'll be glad - but why should this visitor not get to know all there is about Harrison Marks? He was not only a photographer, but also a director - so we cannot skip this chapter only because not all of his films were focussed on big boobs.
| |
| | |
| But I see this is a result of the step I dared - to start articles about persons who had a major impact on big bust themes, but weren't big bust models themselves. I strongly believe that this step was right and that it enriches Boobpedia in a considerable way. Now we can look for other models shot by a certain photographer, or we get to know who made this cool big cup bra we love, and find other models wearing it. So I think you should write everything in your article that you can find about him. The focus of the article can remain big breasts, or at least there should be a reference, but I think it would be incomplete if you deliberately left information out.
| |
| | |
| I just noticed how important this is when I started working on Yves Saint Laurent. On [[Bodypainting]], that is. I noticed a model wearing a blue open bust dress with her breasts painted golden on a fashion runway. Well, this dress was created in 1969 - long before we started to think that open bust dresses might be cool to look at and collect material about them. The designer was Yves Saint Laurent. And as if this was not enough: I found out that he was the one who first introduced transparent blouses into fashion. So all the Nelli Roono pictures and those of other big boobs under sheer garments - we have to thank Yves Saint Laurent for them! This means: '''of course''' my article about him will not only focus on his busty models like [[Laetitia Casta]], his bodypainting premiere and his introduction of sheer blouses, but it will be about the whole man and artist.
| |
| | |
| Huh, wrote a lot... but that's my opinion.

| |
| | |
| P. S.:
| |
| Shit. I just re-read your message. The Honorable is right as far as own templates for his films are concerned. I did the same for some non-big-bust films some of the models of my articles have played in: I mentioned them in the filmography, but I did not create templates for the films themselves. I think that's a good way to keep Boobpedia tidy.

| We can copy Wikipedia templates - we just have to put something like this on them:
| | == Busty Barlow/Rachel Minkowitz == |
| <blockquote><code>
| |
| <nowiki>
| |
| <noinclude>
| |
| <div class="notice">''This template is based on the Wikipedia template "[[Wikipedia:Template:Imdb title|Imdb title]]" used under the terms of the [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia:Text of the GNU Free Documentation License|GNU Free Documentation License]]. See Boobpedia's [[Boobpedia:Copyright|copyright]] notice.''</div></noinclude>
| |
| </nowiki></code>
| |
| </blockquote>
| |
| See [[:Template:Imdb title]] for an example. As long as the notice is in <nowiki><noinclude></nowiki> tags, it won't show up when the template is used in articles. [[User:The Honorable|The Honorable]] 21:37, 18 December 2008 (EST)

| == Chesty ==

| Hi, Apara. Given your area of specialization, you probably have some interest and knowledge of [[Chesty Morgan]]. I'm working on the article, based on some contemporary newspaper articles. In the spirit of outdoing Wikipedia in our area of specialization, I'm going to ignore their article and re-do ours from scratch. I'm finding a couple odd things though, and wonder if this is due to mis-information spread by the Wiki article, or whether my sources are just wrong (they're based, apparently, on interviews with the woman herself, so I wonder...) One is her birth year. We have 1928, Poland-- following Wiki, I assume. But I have a 1975 article that says she was 34 at the time-- making her birth year more like 1941. The 1928 year would make her nearly 50 at the time of ''Fellini's Casanova''... I suppose that's possible, but I don't know... I haven't seen either of the Wishman films-- does she look to be 46, or more like 33? (allowing for the fact that she could be an "old" 33 or a "young" 46) I suspect there is a lot of mis-information about her floating around, and that gets repeated by sources that would otherwise be considered "reliable". I'd like to consider these newspaper articles to be more accurate, and would like our article to be the most accurate one out there, even if it means disagreeing with some of the more respectable sources. You may also note my request for the ''Gent'' interview of 1980-- this would be a big help for our article. [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 20:32, 19 December 2008 (EST)
| |
| :Thanks for the input. I'll work on the article at [[User:Dekkappai/Article in Progress]]. I'm going with the 1941 estimate for now, but will probably wind up just using that as a footnote if I find evidence that 1928 is the more correct date. She very well could have well lied about her age in the 1983 article. I found transcripts of a court case in 1985 in which she was involved... too bad it doesn't contain biographical/ID information, as, dealing with the law, this would probably be about as "reliable" as you can get :) [[User:Dekkappai|Dekkappai]] 01:35, 20 December 2008 (EST)

| ::Good idea, Apara. Ideally, of course, none of our articles should be copied from Wikipedia-- I think taking them from Wikipedia should be looked at as a temporary fill-in measure, in place of a stub. I noticed Prophecy has put some "Please do not insert Wikipedia article here" notices in some of his articles. I'm really amazed at how much I'm finding on Chesty through the newspapers, and through little bits in books, since, judging from other fan sites and biographies, real information on the lady seems to be so rare and mysterious. I'll look for info on [[Vicky Kennedy]] when I'm able and send anything I find. The best resource I have is an index of small-town U.S. papers in .PDF format. So I don't hold out much hope of finding much (if anything) on Vicky Kennedy there. If you start work on a U.S. stripper or actress, I'll probably be able to dig up something though. Cheers! | :::Hi, Apara-- No luck on Vicky Kennedy in the newspaper archives (except apparently Ted Kennedy's wife is/was named Vicky :) I see that you're getting some good info though-- there very well may be information under the Margaret Nolan name with the film appearances-- I'll check next week. I've got access to Proquest at home though, and found a little just now. I've saved it at [[User:Dekkappai/Notes]]. Copy it in edit mode, and let me know when you've got it. Chesty & Busty
Thanks, Apara. I've read that, but I didn't come across anything where Chesty actually says Busty was an inspiration. I did see their names confused occasionally-- and even some that said they were the same person (which is obviously wrong). Dekkappai 00:31, 31 December 2008 (EST)

Hi, Apara. That is Kira Namikaze, one of Akira Takatsuki's Cinema Unit GAS discoveries. She debuted with them in October 2006, made several videos at that studio, and has been working in other companies since working for Oppai label in June 2008. The DVD you linked to is for Moodyz, a major Japanese adult video company. Here is a link with more info and screenshots on that DVD. Its title is Bomber Tits Tit-Fucking Female Professor (Bakunyuu paizuri jokyoshi). And here is a page with other works by her. Strange that they leave out the Cinema Unit GAS DVDs though, since this is the site I usually use to research that company's output... Dekkappai 09:46, 3 January 2009 (EST)

Hi Apara,
thanks for your message. It had escaped my attention that it was growing so bad. Prophecy 04:09, 4 January 2009 (EST)
Question
Ahem... Sayonara, Eden... Question on this edit, Apara: You seem to have meant to change only the image, which is fine. Hi Apara,
thanks for your efforts. Linafay is very strange, she has two different faces, one as a fine art nude model and one as a porn amateur. I thought this might be her... Prophecy 16:42, 17 January 2009 (EST)

Bettie Page
I've been working on Sakurako Kaoru for some time now, and haven't really even scratched the surface yet-- just sort of finished her adult video filmography yesterday. Anyway, good luck on the project. I'll chip in what I can. Dekkappai 10:25, 8 February 2009 (EST)
- Hi, Apara. Dekkappai 16:07, 10 February 2009 (EST)
- Hi again, Apara. I'm a little bit disappointed, because I thought I had a LOT of articles on her. Turns out the vast majority are on a biographical film made of her in 2006, and reviews of the books written about her. I did upload the 1954 picture, because that's of historical value, and should fit well into the article. It is Image:Bettie Page - September 09, 1954.jpg. JPEGS might be a bit of a problem because many of these articles at 100% are larger than the screen. But I'll work it out-- Jpegs or text, where appropriate, and send it to you gradually. Cheers! Dekkappai 22:46, 10 February 2009 (EST)
- Hi Apara-- Did you get the info I've sent? I've been a bit busy offline, and doing some non-BP work at WP in my spare time, so my work on Japanese subjects here has been piling up, and haven't sent everything I have on Bettie yet. But let me know if you've got it, and I'll send more later. Cheers! Dekkappai 16:11, 19 February 2009 (EST)
- OK-- I'll send more when I get the chance-- probably this weekend. Dekkappai 09:17, 20 February 2009 (EST)
Kelly Shibari
Right-- I was wondering... I asked the editor who made the changes-- they seem to be taken from Kelly herself, since they're in the first-person. If he cites the source, I'll integrate the additions into the old version. Dekkappai 18:37, 4 March 2009 (EST)
Priya Rai
There was another link to priyaraivideos.com in one of the references. I found the original source and substituted that, and all seems to work now. The Honorable 01:03, 12 March 2009 (EDT)
Tattoo
Hi Apara,
I thought of this too a while ago and then again sometimes since then.
Finally I thought that this is not a real breast-related category, but this does not count - "Anal" and many other categories are not breast-related either.
So, the longer I think of it - yes, it's worth it. Imagine a visitor who is looking for a tattoed woman; a category like this could help him. I'll install it. Prophecy 13:43, 14 May 2009 (EDT)

Invitation
Hi Apara, I've seen your work here at Boobpedia and I think it's great! I would like to invite you to have a look at another project that is more generic (not only big boobs). The site is Pornopedia.org. Have a look and tell me what you think. You could help us with vintage, retro or pin up sections. You definetly are invited to contribute. Thanks for your time. --Yorgos 03:32, 21 July 2009 (EDT)
- yorgos, you have taken many articles from boobpedia. please note the boobpedia copyright regarding usage of articles. for example, here we use the {{GFDL}} and other templates in articles based on wikipedia pages (even though we've since added to the imported articles) to provide links back to the originals. please use something similar to provide links back to boobpedia pages, thanks. --Hexvoodoo 13:50, 21 July 2009 (EDT)

No, someone added that body type on their own. Now to go clean up... The Honorable 14:46, 2 August 2009 (EDT)
Voluptuous body type
Apparently I went a little over my head in creating the article, which I apologize for, but in your honest opinion do you think there is a valid argument for considering it, as many women are curvaceous and don't get any credit for it.
DuanCulo
Renee Tenison
If the bolded first two words of Renee Tenison are Renée Tenison (with the accent), shouldn't the article be at Renée Tenison? Malik Shabazz 00:26, 26 August 2009 (EDT)
