Merche (born Mercedes Trujillo Callealta) is an Spanish singer and songwriter. In 2001, participated in 'Eurocanción' (spanish for Eurosong), the competition to select the Spain's entry for the annual Eurovision Song Contest celebrated in 2000 and 2001. She performed No Pidas Más Amor (Don't ask for more love), but failed to reach Eurovision after finishing 6th with 52 votes (31 from jury and 21 from public). [1] Sonia y Selena were in the contest too and finished in 9th position. Before the contest she signed for Vale Music and the song reached the top 1 in spanish charts. Between 2011 and 2013 she was member of the jury of the spanish talend show Tu sí que vales
