She appeared on the cover of the June 2006 issue of Playboy as the 2006 Playmate of the Year, the first PMOY in three years to do so (the most recent being Dalene Kurtis in 2002). Monaco is the first Miss June centerfold to become PMOY. She received $100,000, a car, and a sports motorbike for being named as PMOY. Monaco is not related to Kelly Monaco, Miss April 1997.

She appeared as the Playmate of the Year on the December 20, 2006 episode of Identity. Monaco also starred in the 2006 music video, "Stayin' Home Again" by Willie Wisely.
