Early life

Born to a Greek father and Irish mother in Athens, Salpa moved to Ireland aged four and was raised in Killiney, near Dublin.[2] Her mother paints. In secondary school she was, in her own words, "a bit of a nerd... always very thin and had really curly afro hair and had to wear glasses and a patch over one eye". In Ireland, Salpa has undertaken modelling assignments for various publications. She has made TV appearances on such programmes as The Podge and Rodge Show, Republic of Telly, Celebrity Salon and Catwalk to Kilimanjaro. She played a role as herself on Republic of Telly.

Salpa has featured in both the Norwegian and Polish versions of FHM.[4]

Georgia writes a weekly feature in the Irish Daily Star newspaper.

She reached a new peak in the presence of public consciousness in August 2009 after posing in a bikini for a controversial photoshoot for Food & Wine magazine alongside chef Neven Maguire. The magazine apologised after those offended vented their fury on Liveline.[5][6]

Salpa then shocked her Sleeping Beauty colleagues, including Alan Hughes, in late 2011 when she quit the pantomime via a text message days before it began.[7]
