The couple have three children. Their oldest son, Shane, entered the Major League Baseball Draft in 2005 and was drafted by the A's, but because of the high number of players drafted ahead of him, he chose instead to attend Yavapai College, a community college located in Prescott, Arizona. In June 2006, Shane signed as a minor league outfielder with the Oakland A's farm system. As such, he is a third generation professional baseball player (Shane's grandfather, Marty Keough, previously played in the major leagues, as did his great uncle, Joe Keough); although his current playing status places him in the rookie league, the lowest level of minor league baseball. Their daughter, Kara, is a high school student and volleyball player, as well as an actress and model. The couple's youngest son, Colton, is also a amateur baseball player.
