She also had guest appearances on the TV shows Love Monkey, NBC-TV's Law & Order: Criminal Intent, American Experience, Six Degrees, The Black Donnellys and the NBC-TV drama series New Amsterdam.
In 2008, Regan began filming Legend of the Seeker, a television show based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. She portrays Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell.[2][3] In 2009, Regan ventured into producing Camp Wanatachi, a musical that ran in New York at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in January 2011.
In 2016, Regan was added to the cast of the TNT drama series The Last Ship for the show's third season, playing the role of Sasha Cooper, a current diplomat in Asia and a former Navy Intelligence Officer.[4]
In 2021, Regan was cast as Poison Ivy in the third season of The CW network drama series Batwoman.[5]

Bridget Regan grew up in an Irish American and Catholic family. Regan graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where she majored in drama. Her natural hair is red and curly; she dyed her hair dark brown and chemically straightened for Legend of the Seeker.[8]
Regan has become close friends with her Legend of the Seeker cast-mate, actress Tabrett Bethell.
