In 2007, she participated (but didn't win) in an online competition for Israelis abroad (arranged by an Israeli YouTube-like site), where the winner gets a two-way plane ticket to either fly to visit someone in Israel or for that someone to be flown over from Israel. She asked to get such a ticket to fly over to Israel to visit her aging grandmother.
