The Edirne market

The market clusters around two areas:

• Central Edirne — the Selimiye Mosque area, university district, and the Old Town — student-area and business-traveller mix.
• Keşan, Uzunköprü, and Ipsala — border-trade towns with cross-border traffic from Bulgaria and Greece. The market is larger than the population suggests due to commuter and cross-border demand.

Getting there

Edirne is compact; the city centre and university district are walkable. The Sirkeci–Edirne rail line connects to Istanbul (3–4 hours). From Edirne to the Bulgarian border (Kapikule) is 20 min by cab.
