Sofia is the year-round market and the biggest by far. The rest of the action is on the Black Sea coast — Varna and, further south, Burgas and the Sunny Beach strip — which fills up through the summer and empties out after. Plovdiv inland is the steady number two.

Sofia and the coast

Sofia runs on apartment incall and hotel outcall across the centre. Varna and Burgas are seasonal — packed July and August with the resort crowd, much quieter the rest of the year. Plovdiv keeps a smaller independent scene going inland.
