Helen Mirren was born Ilyena Vasilievna Mironov at the Queen Charlotte's Hospital in West London. Mirren was born to a Russian father, a diplomat and a English mother. During her childhood, Mirren lived in Essex County with her family. During her teenage years, Mirren attended a Catholic schools for girls, St. Bernard's High School. Years later, Mirren attended Middlesex University.
Mirren began her stage career in high school. In 1965, Mirren starred as Cleopatra for the National Youth Theatre in London. While still being a theater actress, she also made a break in movies.
Helen Mirren has had roles in almost 100 films and TV shows. All through her illustrious acting career, that was acknowledged not just by literally dozens of awards but by the title of Dame, Mirren has never been one to shy away from displaying not just her natural wonders, but showcasing it in its full glory in full frontal fashion.
At one time she was even reported to have said, "Flesh sells. People don't want to see pictures of churches. They want to see naked bodies."
In 2011, she hosted Saturday Night Live, appearing in an SNL Digital Short titled "Helen Mirren's Magical Bosom."
Helen Mirren has been attached to producer and director Taylor Hackford since 1986. They have been married since 1997.
