Liv Lindeland (born December 7, 1945 in Norway) is a Norwegian nude model and actress. She was chosen as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in January 1971 and as the Playmate of the Year for 1972. She remains one of the most popular Playmates of all time.
Early life and Playboy
Liv Lindeland was born in Norway but after paying a visit to the United States in 1965 she decided to move to America and pursue and acting career. The Scandinavian beauty started attracting attention as soon as she moved from Boston to Los Angeles in 1969. Playboy selected her to be their Playmate of the Month in January 1971. The magazine’s readers immediately fell in love with her. A year later she was named the 1972 Playmate of the Year.

Liv Lindeland was the first Playmate, after 216 issues over 18 years, to show full frontal nudity, (i.e. pubic hair).
