Remya made her acting debut in the 2000 Malayalam film Sayahnam as a child artist. Following performances as a child artist in several Malayalam films during the early 2000s, she went on to play minor supporting roles, before playing starring role in the 2006 film Aanachandam. In 2005, she made her Tamil debut with Oru Naal Oru Kanavu. She received critical acclaim for her performances in the films Traffic (2011) and Chaappa Kurish (2011). Her other notable roles include in the films Pizza (2012), Left Right Left (2013), Philips and the Monkey Pen (2013), Lukka Chuppi (2015), Jilebi (2015), and Sethupathi (2016).

Tulasi (or Tulasi Shivamani) is an Indian actress. She started her career as a child actress, then became a lead actress and later did supporting role in mother characters. She has since acted in over 300 films in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi languages.

Tulasi made her debut in the Telugu film Bharya when she was three months old in 1967. For a song in the film, a baby was needed and Tulasi was placed in the cradle after actress Savitri had requested Tulasi's mother, who was a friend of her.[3] She was then featured in one song when she was one-and-half year old in Jeevanatarangalu and said that she became a full-fledged actor when she was three.

When 12 years old, Tulasi acted as a boy in the Telugu super-hit movie Shankarabharanamwas and was lauded for her brilliant performance.

Tulasi decided to quit acting after getting married (in 1995), working only occasionally as a voice actor in Telugu films,
including ones by Mani Ratnam. She received several mother character roles, which he initially declined, but finally signed on one Kannada film, Excuse Me, in which she played mother to Divya Spandana. This went on to becoming a big hit.
After that, she also began acting in mother roles in Tamil films like Pillaiyar Theru Kadaisi Veedu, Easan, Mankatha, Sundarapandian, Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer and Pandiya Naadu. Tulasi has said that Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer, in which she had played mother to Manisha Yadav's character, changed her life and brought her an "identity as a screen mother". Her portrayal of Chellamma in Pannaiyarum Padminiyum was praised too,[1] with critics stating that she was "brilliant", and had given her "career best performance".

Sridevi (born Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan[1][2] on 13 August 1963) is an Indian film actress who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and a few Kannada films. She is cited as the first female superstar of Hindi Cinema.

She started her career as a child artist in M.A. Thirumugham’s devotional Thunaivan at the age of four,and continued to act as a child artist in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada films. She made her Bollywood debut as a child artist in the hit Julie (1975) and played her first adult role at age 13 with the Tamil film Moondru Mudichu (1976). Subsequently, Sridevi established herself as one of the leading actresses of Tamil and Telugu cinema, with roles such as 16 Vayathinile (1977), Sigappu Rojakkal (1978), Meendum Kokila (1981), Moondram Pirai (1982), Varumayin Niram Sivappu (1980), Premabhishekam (1981), Aakhari Poratam (1988), Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari (1990), and Kshana Kshanam (1991).

In Bollywood, she has marked her debut as a lead actress with Solva Sawan (1978), she gained wide public attention with blockbuster movie Himmatwala (1983). She appeared in a string of commercially successful movies like Mawaali (1983), Tohfa (1984), Masterji (1985), Karma (1986), Mr. India (1987), Waqt Ki Awaz (1988), Chandni (1989). She also received critical acclaim for commercially successful movies like Sadma (1983), Nagina (1986), ChaalBaaz (1989), Lamhe (1991), Khuda Gawah (1992), Gumrah (1993), Laadla (1994), Judaai (1997)

In 2012, Sridevi returned to films after a 15 year long hiatus with English Vinglish and became the only actress in the history of Hindi Cinema to make a highly successful comeback In 2013 Government of India awarded her Padma Shri, the fourth highest civilian honor. She was also voted 'India's Greatest Actress in 100 Years' in a CNN-IBN national poll conducted in 2013 on the occasion of the Centenary of Indian Cinema. In her career, Sridevi has won five Filmfare Awards including a Filmfare Special Award.

During the 1980s, Sridevi had an affair with Mithun Chakraborty. She had fallen in love with Chakraborty on the sets of Rakesh Roshan's Jaag Utha Insan. Sridevi and Mithun Chakraborty were rumored to have got married secretly and later Chakraborty admitted it to the press but only when a fan magazine published their marriage certificate. Sridevi later married Boney Kapoor, a film producer and the elder brother of actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, in 1996. They have two daughters, Jhanvi and Khushi.

Meena Durairaj, mononymously known as Meena, is an Indian actress who has starred as a lead heroine in the South Indian film industry. Meena debuted as a child artist in Tamil films and has later starred in films produced by various regional industries. She has acted in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and several Hindi films. She is among the few actors who have been successful in all the South Indian languages. She is one of the most established actresses in the South Indian film industry.

Meena started her career in 1982 as a child artist in the film Nenjangal, featuring Dr. Sivaji Ganesan in the lead role, after Ganesan saw her at a birthday party. She has acted in several films along with Dr. Sivaji Ganesan and Rajinikanth as a child artist. Meena acted in Kollywood by appearing as a child artiste alongside Rajinikanth in the movie Anbulla Rajinikanth, in which she acted as a terminally ill child who warms up to Rajinikanth —that became a major pointer in her career growth. After the success of that movie, she became one of the famous child artist in South Indian movies.

Meena was born and brought up in Chennai by Tamil father Durairaj and Malayali mother Raj Mallika. Her mother has played a pivotal role in shaping her career and acted as her guide and advisor. Meena has always credited her mother for standing behind her as a pillar of strength. When the make-up artists failed to turn up at a remote village in Kakinada during the shoot of Bobbili Simham in 1994, Roja (a busty South Indian actress herself) did Meena's hair for those two days and was much appreciated by Meena herself. Since then Roja and Meena are best friends.

Meena married Vidyasagar, a Bangalore-based software engineer, on 12 July 2009. The couple has a daughter Nainika.

In addition to acting, Meena is also a model, singer, trained Bharatanatyam dancer, TV host and occasional dubbing artiste. She speaks six languages that include Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada and English.

Iniya, also known as Shruti Sawant, is an Indian film actress, who works in the South Indian film industries. Born as second child to S. Salahuddin and Savithri at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, Iniya has acted in several Malayalam television series, short films and telefilms as a child artist. While studying in class four, she acted in the telefilm Koottilekku, which was followed by appearances in tele-serials Orma and Sree Guruvayoorappan by Vayalar Madhavan Kutty.

In 2005, Iniya won the Miss Trivandrum title, following which she did modeling and appeared in several television advertisements as well as a number of Malayalam award-winning art films, including Saira (2006), directed Dr. Biju, Dalamarmarangal (2009) and Umma (2011), both directed by Vijayakrishnan. She also played a pivotal role in Rajesh Touchriver's short feature The Sacred Face, which focusses on child abuse.

In 2010, she starred in a Tamil film Padagasalai and signed up four more Tamil films, all of which were cancelled or remain unreleased. She next played a supporting role as the sister to Cheran's character in Mysskin's mystery thriller Yuddham Sei. Director A. Sarkunam signed her for the female lead character in his period piece Vaagai Sooda Vaa (2011), and it is at this time that Shruti Sawant came to be called Iniya. Her portrayal of a tea stall owner was lauded by critics. Pavithra Srinivasan of Rediff wrote that she was a "welcome find", describing her as "natural, appealing, and very expressive". She played as a medical student and love interest of the hero in the film Mouna Guru co-starring Arulnidhi. Bharathiraja signed her for his film Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum, being impressed with her performance in Vaagai Sooda Vaa, but after the script was changed, her role was removed from the film.

Iniya has also been part of a number of offbeat films in Malayalam like Ayaal, Bhoopadathil Illatha Oridam and Radio. In 2014, she was first seen as herself in Vikraman's Ninaithathu Yaaro and later in Pulivaal, the Tamil remake of the Malayalam film Chaappa Kurishu. In her only Malayalam release of 2014, Madhu Kaithapram's Vellivelichathil (In the Limelight), she played the role of a dancer.

Bhanupriya (born Manga Bhama), is a main stream Indian actress who has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada films. She was one of the mainstream top heroine from 1983 to 1993. She also acted in few Bollywood films in the 1990s. Her sister Shantipriya was also an actress.

Bhanupriya was born in Rangampeta village, near Rajamundry, Andhra Pradesh, on 15 January 1966 into a Telugu family. Her family settled in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Bhanupriya fell in love with Adarsh Kaushal, the son of U.S. based dancer Sumathi Kaushal, and married him in 1998 and re-located to the U.S. where she gave birth to a daughter Abhinaya in 2003. After spending few years in U.S. Bhanupriya got divorced from her husband Adarsh Kaushal in 2004 and returned back to India to resume her acting career. Bhanupriya is now living in Chennai along with her daughter Abhinaya.

Bhanupriya has acted in around 150 films as a heroine in various languages. Bhanupriya began her film acting career when she was just 17. Her first film was Mella Pesungal (1983) in Tamil. She made her Telugu debut with Sitaara, directed by veteran Vamsy. She has acted in over 80 Telugu films, about 40 Tamil films, 15 Hindi films and a few Malayalam and Kannada films.

Trained in classical dance, all her critically acclaimed movies were based on the subject of classical dance, like Vamsy's Sitara and veteran K. Vishwanath's Swarnakamalam in 1988 Telugu.

Another critically acclaimed movie was Sathyan Anthikkad's Kochu Kochu Santhoshangal in Malayalam. She along with another popular actress cum dancer Lakshmi Gopalaswamy performed to the songs "Sivakara Damaruka" and "Ghanashyama" which were well received. She acted with Malayalam superstars Mohanlal and Mammootty in the movies Rajashilpi and Azhagiya Ravanan respectively.

She had Rhinoplasty to alter the appearance of her nose in her film career during the film Aararo Ariraro, in 1989. Around the same time she is also recorded to have had a cosmetic procedure to alter the shape of her belly button. Her appearance and performances were well appreciated by her senior artist and her co-stars in Tamil film industry from 1990 to 1993.

Tamil Cinema's ace actor, Sivaji Ganesan had mentioned in one of his interviews that Bhanupriya is the only actress from the younger generation with matchable acting ability as Savithri and Padmini (busty yesteryear actresses). Telugu Superstar Chiranjeevi mentioned that he enjoyed the chemistry with other actresses while dancing but with Bhanupriya he missed out on that as she always concentrated on the technical aspects of her footwork and treated him as a competitor instead of a co-star. Khushboo (another big boobed actress) had mentioned in an interview that one role that she would not be able to do justice would be the role Bhanupriya enacted in "Aararo Ariraro". S.P.Balasubramaniam, in the Telugu show "Paadutha Theeyaga", named her as one of the graceful dancers of cinema, apart from Kamalhassan, Chiranjeevi, Prabhudeva, L.Vijayalakshmi and Vyjayanthimala. Actor Prabhu, in the TV Show "Album", named her as one of the best heroines from the 80s. Karthik recognised her as the heroine with exceptional actings skills during his interview with Divyadarshini, in the show "Koffee with DD". Dance Master Kala named her as the best heroine from the 90s.
She had also acted in a television serial, Shakthi, shown over in Sun Network channels. She is famous for her expressions using her eyes, which led her to a career in modelling. Her most famous ad was of Eyetex, a popular eyeliner. Cinematographer and director P. C. Sreeram once described her as having the most beautiful and photogenic face among south Indian movie actresses.
