Kim Kardashian is of Armenian descent, from her father. She is also Native American, French, English, Italian, Dutch, German, and Scottish descent, from her mother. Kardashian was born to late attorney Robert Kardashian (defended O.J. Simpson in the infamous 1995 murder case) and [[Kris Jenner]]. Kardashian is a fourth generation [[Armenian]] American. Kardashian's family included two sisters, [[Kourtney Kardashian|Kourtney]] and [[Khloe Kardashian|Khloe]] and a brother, Robert Jr. In 1990, Kardashian’s parents divorced after a 12-year marriage. Soon later in 1991, her mother, Kris married Olympian athlete Bruce Jenner. As a teenager, Kardashian attended the all-girls Catholic, Marymount High School in Bel Air, Los Angeles. During high school, Kardashian worked at her father’s music marketing firm, Movie Tunes. Kardashian graduated from high school in 1998. Kardashian’s father, Robert died of esophageal cancer on 30 September 2003.

In 2004, Kardashian became a personal stylist to the stars of Hollywood. As a stylist, she worked for Lindsay Lohan and Brandy. Along with her sisters, she opened Dash, a boutique in Calabasas, California in 2006. In 2007, Kardashian and her family began starring in a reality TV series for E! Entertainment Television, ''Keeping Up with the Kardashians''. The series showed the daily lives and problems of the Kardashian family. The show became an instant hit for women between the ages of 18 to 40, and was seen by millions of viewers throughout the show’s history. As a result of the show’s success, E! launched a spin-off, ''Kourtney and Kim Take New York'' in January 2011.

As a model, Kardashian has posed for numerous publications and advertisements. In December 2007, Kardashian posed for ''Playboy'' magazine. In 2010, Kardashian was featured on the Australian edition of ''FHM'' magazine. In February 2008, Bongo Jeans announced that Kardashian would be their face model. Kardashian is also a model for Travis Barker’s Famous Stars and Straps clothing line. In the fall of 2008, Kardashian joined the 7th season cast of ABC’s ''Dancing with the Stars''. Kardashian only lasted for three episodes on the show. In April 2009, Kardashian released a workout DVD series, ''Fit In Your Jeans By Friday''. In December 2010, Kardashian filmed a music video titled “Turn It Up”, which featured a cameo by Kanye West.

From 1995 to 1999, Kardashian dated Michael Jackson’s nephew TJ Jackson. She admitted in an interview that she gave her virginity to him by becoming sexually active at the age of fourteen.

On the 22 January 2000, Kardashian married music producer Damon Thomas when they eloped in Las Vegas after only dating for a short period of time. Damon filed for divorce and separated in April 2003, and their marriage ended up in a messy divorce in February 2004. From 2003 to 2006, Kardashian dated R&B singer Ray J. After their relationship ended, a homemade sex tape from 2003, filmed by Kardashian and Ray J, leaked out in 2007. Kardashian sued Vivid Entertainment for ownership of the tape. In July 2007, Kardashian began dating NFL running back Reggie Bush, a star player of the New Orleans Saints. Their relationship was heavily publicized by the tabloids and media. They broke up for the first time on 28 July 2009, but got back together on 30 September 2009. It was rumored that Kardashian was seeing rapper 50 Cent after her first break up with Reggie Bush. The marriage last only 72 days when Kardashian filed for divorce on 31 October 2011. Kardashian and Humphries divorce finally became finalized about two years later on 19 April 2013.

As of about mid-2012 Kardashian started dating rapper Kanye West. She became pregnant towards the end of 2012, and the baby was predicated to be due in July 2013. Meanwhile, Kardashian went into labor a month earlier from her due date. And gave birth on 15 June 2013, to a daughter Kardashian and West named North West.
