Lauren Francesca was born on May 2. She is the daughter of Fred Siretta, a Broadway actor, dancer and choreographer who has worked with directors such as Elia Kazan, and Jo Ann Cifala, who has danced in Broadway shows such as Very Good Eddie and Whoopie. At the age of ten, Lauren Francesca performed a solo for over 500,000 people at The Washington Monument’s “America Sings”. At the age of eleven, she began studying and was later accepted as a full-time student at the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School. She attended the Professional Performing Arts School, or PPAS, in New York City. In her first year at PPAS, she was also accepted into Junior Division of the Alvin Ailey School. Keegan was born in Stockport, and her parents split when she was 13, when she went to live with her mother and stepfather.

She attended St Patrick's RC High School and the Manchester School of Acting and was turned down for a part in Hollyoaks.
