Martinez had been attending shows by Big Time Wrestling, a professional wrestling promotion in Northern California, since she was 11. She started her professional wrestling career at the age of 18 in April 2008 by attending Big Time Wrestling's training classes by her head trainer Jason Styles, which was one of the reasons why Martinez considered Big Time Wrestling as her home promotion. She had her first match in September 2008. On the American independent circuit, Martinez wrestled under the ring name "Davina Rose". Rose wrestled for Big Time Wrestling from 2008 to 2012. From 2011 to 2012, Rose branched out to wrestle for other promotions like NWA Championship Wrestling from Hollywood and Shine Wrestling.

In December 2012, it was reported that Martinez had signed with WWE. In late January 2013, Martinez made her debut for WWE's developmental territory, NXT Wrestling, at a live event wrestling under a mask. She then adopted the ring name "Bayley" and made her WWE NXT television debut in a loss to Paige on the March 20 episode. On the June 12 NXT, Bayley adopted a new character of a doe-eyed fangirl, then lost to Alicia Fox in the first round of the NXT Women's Championship Tournament to crown the inaugural champion. On the July 17 episode of NXT, Bayley lost to the debuting Charlotte. On the August 21 episode of NXT, Bayley challenged WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee to a title match and lost.

On the September 4 episode of NXT, Bayley enjoyed her first win by teaming with Charlotte to defeat Alicia Fox and Aksana. To Charlotte's annoyance, the BFFs (Beautiful Fierce Females) (Summer Rae and Sasha Banks) attempted to convince Bayley to join them. However, on the November 13 episode of NXT, Charlotte attacked Bayley to cost them their match against the BFFs and promptly joined the BFFs instead. Bayley would then form a brief alliance with Natalya, defeating Sasha Banks in both tag team and singles matches. On the August 14 episode of NXT, Bayley defeated Sasha Banks to become the #1 Contender to the NXT Women's Championship. She repeated the feat on August 28 when Banks challenged her to a rematch. However, she was unsuccessful in capturing the title from Charlotte at NXT Takeover: Fatal 4 Way and in a rematch that took place on October 2. After a loss to Sasha Banks on October 23, Bayley was attacked by her former friend Becky Lynch, who then allied herself with Banks. Later, Bayley formed an alliance with former rival Charlotte to feud with Banks and Lynch throughout the following several weeks. In a rematch between the two, contested in the main event of NXT TakeOver: Respect on October 7, in the first ever women's 30-minute Iron Man match in WWE history, Bayley defeated Banks with 3 falls to 2 after securing the third fall with three seconds left the match, and retained the championship. On the March 16 episode of NXT, after Bayley and Asuka won a tag team match, where NXT general manager William Regal announced that Bayley would defend her championship against Asuka on April 1 at NXT TakeOver: Dallas, where Bayley lost the championship to Asuka by technical submission, ending her reign at 223 days. On the July 27 episode of NXT, Bayley asked NXT's general manager William Regal a rematch against Asuka for the NXT Women's Championship at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II, which he granted. At the event on August 20, Bayley failed to regain the title, in what would be her last match in NXT.

== RAW (2016-Present) ==

On July 24 at Battleground, Bayley made her WWE main roster and pay-per-view debut in a one-off appearance as Sasha Banks's mystery tag team partner, defeating Charlotte and Dana Brooke.

On the August 22 episode of Raw, Bayley made her official main roster debut after being established as part of the brand by Raw general manager Mick Foley, where she confronted and challenged the Raw Women's Champion Charlotte to a title match, which Charlotte would refuse and instead force her protégé Dana Brooke to face her, whom Bayley would defeat. At Clash of Champions, Bayley was unsuccessful in winning the championship from Charlotte in a triple threat match, which also included Sasha Banks. Throughout this time, she entered a feud with Brooke. She teamed with The New Day to defeat her and Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson on the August 29 episode of Raw, after the match, the two had an altercation backstage. Brooke defeated her on the Oct. 10 episode, but Bayley defeated Brooke the following week. On the Oct 24 episode, Brooke attacked her during an arm-wrestling match, which lead to a match at Hell in a Cell, which Bayley won.

Green found the atmosphere of coming onto a film so late tense and exciting, and also liked the film's ambiguity in approaching its subject matter. To her disappointment, much of her screen time was cut. Stephanie Zacharek of Salon.com praised her performance: "She doesn't quite know what to do with her character's stilted dialogue, but she carries herself so regally that you barely notice." Nev Pierce of the BBC, however, called her character "limp". Green was satisfied when her character's complex subplot was restored in the director's cut. Total Film noted the new scenes completed her performance: "In the theatrical cut, Princess Sibylla sleeps with Balian and then, more or less, loses her mind. Now we understand why. Not only does Sibylla have a young son, but when she realizes he's afflicted with leprosy just like her brother Baldwin, she decides to take his life shortly after he's been crowned king."

== Career (2006-now) ==
Green was considered for roles in The Constant Gardener (a role that went to Rachel Weisz) and The Black Dahlia. She was cast at the last minute for the role of Vesper Lynd in the James Bond film Casino Royale (2006). Green was approached in mid-2005 but turned it down. Principal photography was already underway, and director Martin Campbell noted casting the role was difficult because "we didn't have the final script and a Bond girl always had the connotation of tits 'n' ass." Campbell saw Green's performance in the director's cut of Kingdom of Heaven, and approached Green again. She read the script, and found the character of Vesper far deeper than most Bond girls. Green's performance was well received: Entertainment Weekly called her the fourth-best Bond girl of all time; IGN named her the best femme fatale, stating "This is the girl that broke – and therefore made – James Bond"; and she won a BAFTA and an Empire award for her performance. Both awards were voted for by the British public.

Green portrayed the witch Serafina Pekkala in the 2007 film adaptation of The Golden Compass. She found it difficult being flown on a harness because of her fear of heights, which led her to refuse to reshoot a scene on her last day of filming. Green hoped the religious themes of the book would be preserved, but references to Catholicism were removed from the film. Green next appeared in Franklyn, as Emilia, a schizophrenic woman whose multiple personalities are split between tormented artist (which Green compared to real-life figures Sophie Calle and Tracey Emin) and another, which she described as, "full of life, very witty, big sense of humor". She also filmed Cracks, the directorial debut of Jordan Scott, Ridley Scott's daughter, where she plays a mysterious teacher at a girls' school named Miss G, who falls in love with one of her pupils. In March 2009, she appeared in Womb, where she plays a woman who clones her dead boyfriend. It is a collaboration between actor Matt Smith and director Benedek Fliegauf.

She was considered for the role eventually played by Cécile de France in Un Secret (2007). Additionally, she was initially approached for the female lead in Lars von Trier's controversial film Antichrist (2009). According to Trier, Green was positive about appearing in the film, but her agents refused to allow her. The unsuccessful casting attempt took two months of the film's pre-production process. Anglo-French actress Charlotte Gainsbourg was subsequently cast in the role. Green later told she got along well with Trier, "but then we started talking about nudity and sex and so on. It got a bit too far ... It was my dream to work with him, but it’s a shame it was on that film that it nearly happened. I’m sure I would have been trashed doing that film".

Green starred in the first season of Starz's series, Camelot, as the sorceress Morgan le Fay. Green stated, "This is such an iconic story and you have 10 episodes to explore a character. It's not a girlfriend role that you could have in a movie. It's a real ballsy character. She has some guts." In 2012, Green played a vengeful witch Angelique Bouchard who curses Johnny Depp's character into a vampire in Tim Burton's Dark Shadows. In 2014, she played Artemisia in the 300 sequel, 300: Rise of an Empire. Since May 2014, Green has starred in the Showtime series Penny Dreadful as Vanessa Ives. She played the titular role Ava Lord in the Sin City sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014).

Hemme signed with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in April 2006,<ref name=slam2/> and she debuted on April 23 at Lockdown. In addition to her hosting role on ''Impact!'', she was also the co-host of the Internet show ''TNA Global Impact!'' with Jeremy Borash. At Hardcore War, Hemme refereed a match between Traci and [[Gail Kim]].<ref name=OWOW/> In July 2006, she was featured on the ''Women of Action'' special. She also began traveling to Windsor, Ontario to train under TNA agent Scott D'Amore in between TNA TV tapings. She was also Knockout of the Year for 2006.<ref name=OWOW/>

On January 14, 2007 at Final Resolution, Christy came out and interrupted the Voodoo Kin Mafia (VKM) and cut a promo about the involvement of women in wrestling.<ref name=OWOW/> She said that she wanted to wrestle too—and the mostly male crowd in the TNA arena jeered her. Kip James called her a slut, which garnered him a slap from Hemme, while B.G. James attempted to play peacemaker.<ref name=OWOW/> In the following weeks, Kip and Hemme got into a few arguments over his lack of respect for her and women as a whole. Hemme made her TNA in-ring debut at Against All Odds where she wrestled and defeated "The Big Fat Oily Guy" in a Tuxedo match, but after his match Kip James stripped her.<ref name=OWOW/> On the March 8 version of ''Impact'', Hemme asked Jim Cornette for a match pitting VKM against her new, previously undisclosed, team, at Destination X. Cornette consented and booked the match. On the pay-per-view, Hemme introduced The Heartbreakers. Despite Hemme's attempts to give Kip a low blow, VKM defeated her team, who she later browbeat at ringside.<ref name=OWOW/> Hemme later announced that she had found another team to face the VKM. At the preshow prior to the Lockdown pay-per-view, the mystery team was revealed to be Serotonin (Havok and Kaz), but VKM defeated them as well.<ref name=OWOW/> She then brought in Basham and Damaja as her new permanent tag team in her battle with VKM.<ref name=OWOW/> They beat Kip in a handicap match at Sacrifice as B.G. had been attacked by them earlier in the night.<ref name=OWOW/> At Slammiversary, VKM beat Basham and Damaja, but VKM's associate Lance Hoyt turned on them and kissed Hemme.<ref name=OWOW/>

Basham and Damaja were then released from the company, and Hoyt formed a partnership with Jimmy Rave, named The Rock 'n Rave Infection, with Hemme as their manager.<ref name=OWOW/> In the winter of 2007, Hemme, Rave, and Hoyt entered into a feud with The Latin American Xchange (LAX) faction after being attacked several times by a mysterious assailant.<ref name=OWOW/> The assailant was revealed to be Salinas (Shelly Martinez) at Final Resolution following LAX's victory over the Infection.<ref name=OWOW/> Shortly after Final Resolution, The Rock 'n Rave Infection began a new gimmick, acting as though they were a rock band with Hemme portraying the lead singer. Styles in a mixed tag team match against Awesome Kong and Scott Steiner, where Hemme pinned Kong.<ref name=OWOW/> At Final Resolution, it appeared Hemme was about to win the title, but was attacked by Saeed and Rhaka Khan, thus winning on a disqualification.<ref name=OWOW/> Hemme was then granted a re-match at Genesis.<ref name=OWOW/> A week later Hemme teamed with ODB against Khan and Saeed in a winning effort.<ref name=OWOW/> On January 2009, Hemme sustained a neck injury while training in the ring with Styles for her match and would be unable to compete at Genesis against Awesome Kong.<ref name=OWOW/> Her injury required surgery and she was out of action for about seven months.

Training (2003–2007, 2011)

Dashwood was introduced into wrestling by her older brother Jake, when she was about 8 years old. She involved herself in the Australian wrestling scene and did some training from the ages of 13 to 15. In 2005, Dashwood made some appearances for the Australian wrestling promotion PWA under the ring name Valentine. However, from the age of 16 to 18, Dashwood was limited to merely setting up the ring at events and helping out after she suffered a severe shoulder injury. In 2007, she moved to Calgary, Alberta, Canada for a few months to train with Lance Storm at the Storm Wrestling Academy.

In early 2011, Tenille returned to Lance Storm's Storm Wrestling Academy for further training, during which she became one of the ten trainees featured on the World of Hurt reality television show.North American and Australian independent circuit (2008–2011)

Dashwood returned to Australia by September 2008, and wrestled there until February 2009 for promotions like Wrestlerock and PWA Queensland.

Dashwood then travelled to the United States and made her in-ring debut for all-female American promotion Shimmer Women Athletes as "Tenille" on 2 May 2009. This was at the tapings of Volume 23 where she lost to Amber O'Neal. At Volume 25, Tenille defeated Jetta of the International Home Wrecking Crew, but was attacked by the Crew after the match. At Volume 26, Tenille lost to Rain, another member of the Crew. Rain and Jetta defeated Tenille and Jessie McKay on Volume 28. Tenille teamed with McKay again on Volume 36, when they made an unsuccessful challenge for Portia Perez and Nicole Matthews' Shimmer Tag Team Championship.

Dashwood made her debut for the Canadian wrestling promotion Extreme Canadian Championship Wrestling (ECCW) on 22 May 2009 under her real name. In 2009, Dashwood also wrestled for another Canadian promotion, Prairie Wrestling Alliance, as "Tenille Williams". In Dashwood's debut match for ECCW, she defeated Nicole Matthews to earn a shot at the SuperGirls Championship, but later lost to champion Veronika Vice. On 1 August, Tenille defeated Vice and Matthews in a 3-way match to win her first-ever ECCW Supergirls title. By racking up successful titles defenses in singles matches against Vice and Matthews, Tenille held the championship until 27 November 2009 when she lost it back to Vice.

At the 19 March 2010 ECCW event, Tenille defeated Veronika Vice to re-capture the ECCW Women's Championship. She then enjoyed successful title defenses against Vice, Nicole Matthews and Lylah Lodge in singles matches, as well as against Matthews and KC Spinelli in a three-way. Dashwood lost the title to Matthews in a tables match on 26 October, and went on to lose a title rematch to Matthews in December 2010. Tenille's last match in ECCW was on 7 May 2011, where she was defeated by Matthews.

On 9 July 2011, at a Melbourne City Wrestling event, Tenille had her last match in Australia before heading to WWE and was defeated by Shazza McKenzie.

==World Wrestling Entertainment / WWE (2011–present)==

Developmental territories (2011–2014)

In March 2011, SHIMMER announced that Dashwood had signed a developmental contract with WWE. In July 2011, Dashwood decided to undergo surgery for her shoulder, which had caused her problems throughout her career. In June 2012, Dashwood relocated to Florida, and eventually reported to WWE's developmental territory Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). She made her FCW in-ring debut on the 1 August live event, participating in a battle royal.

In August 2012, Dashwood revealed "Emma" as her new ring name. WWE went on to rebrand its developmental territory, FCW, into NXT. Emma made her television debut on the 28 November episode of NXT, where she competed against Audrey Marie in a losing effort. Emma debuted a clumsy dancer character on the 9 January 2013 episode of NXT. From April, the goofy Emma began to rack up wins (over the likes of Bayley and Audrey Marie) while becoming one of the most popular NXT wrestlers. On the 26 June episode of NXT, Emma competed in the NXT Women's Championship tournament to crown the inaugural champion and defeated Aksana in the first round. She went on to defeat Summer Rae in the semi-finals on the 10 July episode of NXT. On the 24 July episode of NXT, Emma was defeated by Paige in the finals for the NXT Women's Championship tournament.

On the 7 August episode of NXT, Emma won a dance-off against Summer Rae to become the number one contender for the NXT Women's Championship, but Rae then attacked her to start a feud. In the following months, Emma teamed up with Paige to feud with the Beautiful Fierce Females (Rae and Sasha Banks). On the 18 December episode of NXT, Emma was challenged by Natalya for Emma's shot at the NXT Championship, which was contested on the 1 January 2014 episode of NXT in which Emma was victorious. On 27 February, at NXT Arrival, Emma finally received her title match against Paige, but was unsuccessful in capturing the championship. After Paige was stripped of the championship, Emma lost to Charlotte in a tournament to determine a new champion.
Alliance with Santino Marella (2014–present)

On the 13 January 2014 episode of Raw, Emma made her first appearance on the main roster when WWE acknowledged her appearing amongst the live audience, Emma continued to appear in the crowd on Raw and SmackDown that month, with tensions developing between her and Summer Rae.
On the 3 February episode of Raw, Emma was invited into the ring by Santino Marella to participate in a dance-off against Rae, which Emma won by fan vote. In the following weeks, the feud between Emma and Rae continued and Emma eventually began teasing a on-screen relationship with Marella, showing romantic feelings towards one another on both Raw and Smackdown. The two would finally face off in a match on the February 24 episode of Raw, where Emma would defeat Rae. Week later, on the 3 March episode of Raw, Emma and Santino would defeat Rae and Fandango in a mixed tag team match, when Emma once again made Rae submit. On the March 25 episode of Main Event, Emma teamed up with Natalya, The Funkadactyls (Cameron and Naomi) and Eva Marie in a losing effort to the team of Rae, Alicia Fox, Aksana, Layla and Tamina Snuka, when Snuka pinned Naomi. On the 27 March episode of WWE Superstars, Emma once again defeated Rae via submission. On April 6 at Wrestlemania XXX, Emma competed in the "Vickie Guerrero Divas Championship Invitational" match for the WWE Divas Championship, which was won by defending champion AJ Lee. The following night on Raw, Emma and Marella once again defeated Rae and Fandango in a mixed tag team match, with Emma making Rae submit. On the April 15 episode of Main Event, Emma participated in a Divas Battle Royal to determine the No.1 Contender to the Divas Championship and face Paige at Extreme Rules, but was eliminated by Nikki Bella.

On 30 June 2014, Dashwood was arrested in Hartford, Connecticut. She did not appear on the episode of Raw that aired live that night. Raised in a wealthy, devoutly Catholic family, she was sent to the Academy of the Sacred Heart, Grand Coteau, Louisiana, at the age of 12. She was also an accomplished gymnast aspiring to compete in the Olympics but her father prevented her from being recruited by the Mexican national team. The religious sisters running the Academy ejected Hayek citing behavioral problems, so she returned to Mexico. She was later sent to live with her aunt in Houston, Texas, where she stayed until she was 17. She attended college in Mexico City, where she studied International Relations at the Universidad Iberoamericana. To the chagrin of her family, she dropped out to pursue a career as an actress.

==Early Life==

Bevis is part of a professional wrestling family. Both her mother and father, known as Sweet Saraya and Ricky Knight respectively, are professional wrestlers, as are her older brothers, Roy and Zak. The family run the World Association of Wrestling (WAW) promotion. In July 2012, Channel 4 produced a documentary about the Knights entitled The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family.

==Professional wrestling career==
Bevis was trained at the WAW Academy by her family, Klondyke Kate and Jason Cross. She made her debut in 2006 for World Association Of Wrestling (WAW) when she teamed up with her mother, Sweet Saraya and lost to Destiny and The Pink Lady, Kharisma and Pixie were also involved.[10] During her time at WAW she would team up with and take on various members of her close family. In December 2007, Knight took part in a tournament where the winner would become the first WAWW British Champion, she made it all the way to the final but was eliminated by Jetta. Knight would also lose a fatal four way match for the championship which included Jetta, Sweet Saraya and her former tag team partner, Melodi. In August 2008, Knight lost a three way match to Jetta where the winner would become the number one contender to the RQW Women's Championship. On 31 August 2009, Knight defeated her mother, Sweet Saraya, in a best of three match to become the WAWW British Champion. In the rematch the result was the same, two pinfalls for Knight and one for Saraya. In 2010, she took part in one night ladies tournament which she won by defeating Sweet Saraya. Once again, she took on Saraya but this time it was for the HEW Women's Championship and this time Saraya won. On 11 November 2011, Knight won an elimination match to become the first WAWW Hardcore Champion. However, her jubilation was to be short lived as she lost the WAWW British Championship a few days later to Liberty.

Bevis, using the name Britani Knight, would begin to team up with Melodi to form the Norfolk Dolls. In their first match together in June, they lost to Nikki Best and The Pink Lady. The Norfolk Dolls would go on a large winning streak, if you discount handicapped matches, remaining undefeated until the beginning of 2007 in tag team competition. During this time they would compete not only for WAW but also Premier Promotions and others. At World Association Of Women's Wrestling, the female only side project of WAW, the Norfolk Dolls defeated the Legion of Womb to become the first WAWW Tag Team Champions, they held the championship for about a year before vacating it. Their final match together as a tag team took place in French promotion International Catch Wrestling Alliance where they lost to Bulla Punk and Sweet Saraya.

==Pro-Wrestling: EVE (2010–2011)==
Bevis, using the ring name Britani Knight, made her debut for the European all-female promotion on 8 May 2010, along with her mother Saraya Knight. She did not start well for the promotion; although she appeared in the main event at the first taping, she lost to Greek wrestler Blue Nikita. She also lost to Jetta in what was purportedly her opponent's last tour of wrestling. On 16 October 2010 she had her first win against Shanna. On 8 April 2011 she participated in a two-night tournament to crown the first ever Pro-Wrestling: EVE Champion. In the first night, she won a Last Chance Battle Royal, then defeated Jenny Sjödin in the quarter final match. The next day, she defeated Jetta in the semi-final match, and later in the finals defeated Nikki Storm to win the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship. On 4 June 2011 at the XWA War On The Shore 7 show, she lost the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship to Sjödin.

==Shimmer Women Athletes (2011)==
Bevis (again billed as Britani Knight) made her United States wrestling debut for the all-female promotion Shimmer Women Athletes on 26 March 2011, at the tapings of Volume 37, alongside her mother and tag team partner Saraya Knight. She and her mother (billed as the Knight Dynasty) were managed by the returning Rebecca Knox and made an open challenge, which was answered by Nikki Roxx and Ariel. The Knight Dynasty won via disqualification after the referee saw Roxx and Ariel using the Dynasty's brass knuckles. Later that same day, at the tapings of Volume 38, the Knight Dynasty unsuccessfully challenged the Seven Star Sisters (Hiroyo Matsumoto and Misaki Ohata) for the Shimmer Tag Team Championship. Prior to reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), Knight took part in her final Shimmer tapings on 1 and 2 October 2011. After several losses, which included the Knight Dynasty again failing to win the Shimmer Tag Team Championship, Saraya slapped Knight. This resulted in Knight brawling with her mother, before challenging her to a match. On Volume 44, Knight wrestled her final Shimmer match, defeating Saraya in a No Disqualification match.

==World Wrestling Entertainment / WWE (2011)==
Bevis received try-outs with WWE in November 2010 and April 2011.[19] In September 2011, it was reported that Bevis had signed a contract with WWE and would report to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

==Developmental territories (2012–2014)==
Bevis made her debut for FCW at a house show on 5 January 2012, using the ring name Saraya. Bevis' ring name was then changed to Paige as she made her television debut in a backstage appearance on the 26 February episode of FCW TV. From March 2012, Paige formed an alliance with [[Ivelisse Vélez|Sofia Cortez]], dubbing themselves as the Anti-Diva Army. On the 19 March episode of FCW TV, Paige made her televised in-ring debut in a tag team match alongside Cortez, which the duo lost to [[Audrey Marie]] and [[Kaitlyn (wrestler)|Kaitlyn]]. Paige and Cortez then formed a brief association with Rick Victor. On the 6 May episode of FCW TV, Paige pinned Raquel Diaz, the FCW Divas Champion in a non-title triple threat match, which also involved Audrey Marie. This earned Paige a title shot against Diaz on the 27 May episode of FCW TV, where Diaz's chicanery led to Paige being disqualified and Diaz retained her title. Dissension was teased within the Anti-Diva Army as Paige moved on to feud with Audrey Marie; Paige lost to Marie on the 10 June episode of FCW TV after Cortez interfered against her, signalling the end of the alliance. On the 1 July episode of FCW TV, Paige was disqualified during a match with Marie. On the final episode of FCW TV on 15 July, Paige and Marie ended their feud with Marie victorious in a no disqualification match.
WWE went on to rebrand its developmental territory FCW, into NXT Wrestling. Paige's NXT television debut took place on the third episode of the rebooted WWE NXT taped at Full Sail University, where she lost to Sofia Cortez. From September 2012, after gaining a large surge in crowd support, Paige would go on a singles winning streak defeating the likes of Audrey Marie, Sasha Banks, [[Tenille Dashwood|Emma]], [[Zivile Raudoniene|Aksana]], and multiple wins over former WWE Divas Champion [[Alicia Fox]].

On the 30 January episode of NXT, Paige was attacked by ring announcer [[Summer Rae]] due to Rae's jealousy of Paige's popularity and success. On the 13 February episode of NXT, Paige suffered a shoulder injury after brawling with Rae, which Rae exploited later that episode to end Paige's undefeated streak. After Paige continued to confront Rae, Paige finally faced off against Rae in a singles match on the 1 May episode of NXT, where Paige emerged victorious despite Rae's pre-match attack. On the 5 June episode of NXT, Paige defeated Tamina Snuka in the first round of the NXT Women's Championship tournament to crown the inaugural champion, and Alicia Fox in the semi-finals on the 3 July episode of NXT. ==Early Life==

Bevis is part of a professional wrestling family. Both her mother and father, known as Sweet Saraya and Ricky Knight respectively, are professional wrestlers, as are her older brothers, Roy and Zak. The family run the World Association of Wrestling (WAW) promotion. In July 2012, Channel 4 produced a documentary about the Knights entitled The Wrestlers: Fighting with My Family.

==Professional wrestling career==
Bevis was trained at the WAW Academy by her family, Klondyke Kate and Jason Cross. She made her debut in 2006 for World Association Of Wrestling (WAW) when she teamed up with her mother, Sweet Saraya and lost to Destiny and The Pink Lady, Kharisma and Pixie were also involved.[10] During her time at WAW she would team up with and take on various members of her close family. In December 2007, Knight took part in a tournament where the winner would become the first WAWW British Champion, she made it all the way to the final but was eliminated by Jetta. Knight would also lose a fatal four way match for the championship which included Jetta, Sweet Saraya and her former tag team partner, Melodi. In August 2008, Knight lost a three way match to Jetta where the winner would become the number one contender to the RQW Women's Championship. On 31 August 2009, Knight defeated her mother, Sweet Saraya, in a best of three match to become the WAWW British Champion. In the rematch the result was the same, two pinfalls for Knight and one for Saraya. In 2010, she took part in one night ladies tournament which she won by defeating Sweet Saraya. Once again, she took on Saraya but this time it was for the HEW Women's Championship and this time Saraya won. On 11 November 2011, Knight won an elimination match to become the first WAWW Hardcore Champion. However, her jubilation was to be short lived as she lost the WAWW British Championship a few days later to Liberty.

Bevis, using the name Britani Knight, would begin to team up with Melodi to form the Norfolk Dolls. In their first match together in June, they lost to Nikki Best and The Pink Lady. The Norfolk Dolls would go on a large winning streak, if you discount handicapped matches, remaining undefeated until the beginning of 2007 in tag team competition. During this time they would compete not only for WAW but also Premier Promotions and others. At World Association Of Women's Wrestling, the female only side project of WAW, the Norfolk Dolls defeated the Legion of Womb to become the first WAWW Tag Team Champions, they held the championship for about a year before vacating it. Their final match together as a tag team took place in French promotion International Catch Wrestling Alliance where they lost to Bulla Punk and Sweet Saraya.

==Pro-Wrestling: EVE (2010–2011)==
Bevis, using the ring name Britani Knight, made her debut for the European all-female promotion on 8 May 2010, along with her mother Saraya Knight. She did not start well for the promotion; although she appeared in the main event at the first taping, she lost to Greek wrestler Blue Nikita. She also lost to Jetta in what was purportedly her opponent's last tour of wrestling. On 16 October 2010 she had her first win against Shanna. On 8 April 2011 she participated in a two-night tournament to crown the first ever Pro-Wrestling: EVE Champion. In the first night, she won a Last Chance Battle Royal, then defeated Jenny Sjödin in the quarter final match. The next day, she defeated Jetta in the semi-final match, and later in the finals defeated Nikki Storm to win the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship. On 4 June 2011 at the XWA War On The Shore 7 show, she lost the Pro Wrestling EVE Championship to Sjödin.

==Shimmer Women Athletes (2011)==
Bevis (again billed as Britani Knight) made her United States wrestling debut for the all-female promotion Shimmer Women Athletes on 26 March 2011, at the tapings of Volume 37, alongside her mother and tag team partner Saraya Knight. She and her mother (billed as the Knight Dynasty) were managed by the returning Rebecca Knox and made an open challenge, which was answered by Nikki Roxx and Ariel. The Knight Dynasty won via disqualification after the referee saw Roxx and Ariel using the Dynasty's brass knuckles. Later that same day, at the tapings of Volume 38, the Knight Dynasty unsuccessfully challenged the Seven Star Sisters (Hiroyo Matsumoto and Misaki Ohata) for the Shimmer Tag Team Championship. Prior to reporting to Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW), Knight took part in her final Shimmer tapings on 1 and 2 October 2011. After several losses, which included the Knight Dynasty again failing to win the Shimmer Tag Team Championship, Saraya slapped Knight. This resulted in Knight brawling with her mother, before challenging her to a match. On Volume 44, Knight wrestled her final Shimmer match, defeating Saraya in a No Disqualification match.

==World Wrestling Entertainment / WWE (2011)==
Bevis received try-outs with WWE in November 2010 and April 2011.[19] In September 2011, it was reported that Bevis had signed a contract with WWE and would report to their developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW).

==Developmental territories (2012–2014)==
Bevis made her debut for FCW at a house show on 5 January 2012, using the ring name Saraya. Bevis' ring name was then changed to Paige as she made her television debut in a backstage appearance on the 26 February episode of FCW TV. From March 2012, Paige formed an alliance with [[Ivelisse Vélez|Sofia Cortez]], dubbing themselves as the Anti-Diva Army. On the 19 March episode of FCW TV, Paige made her televised in-ring debut in a tag team match alongside Cortez, which the duo lost to [[Audrey Marie]] and [[Kaitlyn (wrestler)|Kaitlyn]]. Paige and Cortez then formed a brief association with Rick Victor. On the 6 May episode of FCW TV, Paige pinned Raquel Diaz, the FCW Divas Champion in a non-title triple threat match, which also involved Audrey Marie. This earned Paige a title shot against Diaz on the 27 May episode of FCW TV, where Diaz's chicanery led to Paige being disqualified and Diaz retained her title. Dissension was teased within the Anti-Diva Army as Paige moved on to feud with Audrey Marie; Paige lost to Marie on the 10 June episode of FCW TV after Cortez interfered against her, signalling the end of the alliance. On the 1 July episode of FCW TV, Paige was disqualified during a match with Marie. On the final episode of FCW TV on 15 July, Paige and Marie ended their feud with Marie victorious in a no disqualification match.

Paige's NXT television debut took place on the third episode of the rebooted WWE NXT taped at Full Sail University, where she lost to Sofia Cortez.
