Harris was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, and was raised in the small town of Eunice in St. Landry Parish. She was named after her great-grandmother. Her first name is Elta, but she goes by her middle name, Danneel, professionally. The name "Danneel" was inspired by Danneel Street in New Orleans. Her cousin is actress Mary Lou. She moved to Los Angeles and continued her acting training with John Homa, Calmeson and Calmeson, and Craig Wargo.

Before she landed her first acting role, Harris worked as a model with such companies as Big Sexy Hair and Juicy Jeans. She first appeared in a television commercial. The independent film The Plight of Clownana marks her first major acting role. Her other credits include The WB's What I Like About You, guest appearance on Mad TV, and a supporting role in the yet-to-be released indie Rule Number One starring Ed Harris.

Harris is skilled in gymnastics and her musical talents include playing the piano and singing. She relocated to New York in 2004 for her role on One Life to Live.

One Tree Hill is perhaps Danneel's best known role to date.

Harris appeared in the episode Shelter Island as Nora Zinman in CBS's How I Met Your Mother. The episode premiered on October 20, 2008 and Harris replaced Sara Paxton who dropped out.

In 2007, she starred alongside One Tree Hill star Elisabeth Harnois in Ten Inch Hero which followed the relationships of a group of staff working at a sandwich shop. She made her theatrical debut as Vanessa Fanning in the sequel to 2004's Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle 2008's Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay. Danneel has been confirmed to reprise her role of Vanessa A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas in 2011.

In 2009, she appeared in the Screen Gems Teen Comedy film Fired Up starring alongside Sarah Roemer and Molly Sims. The film which was released February 20, 2009 was released to negative reviews and had little success at the box office earning a worldwide total of $18,001,045.

Born Patsy Ann McClenny in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Martha Jane (née Hartt), a high school English teacher who taught at Richardson High School, Richardson Texas, and Edward Milton McClenny. As a child, she suffered a bout of scarlet fever, which left her partially deaf.

Fairchild's first acting job was as a double for Faye Dunaway during location filming for the movie Bonnie and Clyde (1967). She took her new first name, Morgan, from the 1966 David Warner film, Morgan: A Suitable Case for Treatment. Fairchild then moved to New York City, where she secured her first credited on-screen role as the maniacal Jennifer Pace in the daytime soap opera Search for Tomorrow from 1973 until 1977. From the mid-1970s, she began to make various appearances on episodic primetime television shows such as Kojak, Happy Days, Police Woman, and was cast as Jenna Wade in the television series Dallas in 1978. Her appearance in Dallas was for only one episode, though the character was later brought back and was played briefly by Francine Tacker in 1980, and then by Priscilla Presley from 1983-88. In 1978, Fairchild made the TV movie The Initiation of Sarah and also had a recurring role on the sitcom Mork & Mindy. In 1980, she scored her first regular primetime role as Constance Weldon Carlyle on the soap opera Flamingo Road. Though the series had an impressive beginning, the ratings soon dropped and it was canceled after two seasons, though Fairchild was nominated for a Golden Globe award for her role.

After the cancellation of Flamingo Road, Fairchild continued to make guest appearances in a variety of episodic television shows such as Hotel, Simon and Simon, Magnum, P.I., and The Love Boat. She also starred in the 1982 theatrical film, The Seduction. In 1984, she co-starred in another primetime soap opera, Paper Dolls, playing modelling agency owner Racine. The series was cancelled halfway through its first season, but by this time, Fairchild was established as a television actress and in 1985 she joined the hit series Falcon Crest, playing the glamorous lawyer Jordan Roberts for a season. She also appeared in the mini-series North and South in 1985, and its sequel in 1986.

1985 was the year in which Jon Lovitz on Saturday Night Live created the "pathological liar" character who claims outlandish achievements for himself, culminating in the grand allusion that his wife was Morgan Fairchild. The obvious remoteness of such a possibility, and its mainstream comic appeal, was testimonial to the broad popularity and desirability of Fairchild at the time.

Fairchild continued to make appearances in films and television shows throughout the 1980s, and garnered an Emmy Award nomination for her guest appearance in a 1989 episode of Murphy Brown. In the early 1990s, she was cast in a recurring role in Roseanne, as Sandra Bernhard's bisexual girlfriend Marla.

In 1994, Fairchild appeared in an unexpectedly campy ad campaign for clothes designer Old Navy, with Joan Collins and other formerly familiar faces on TV. Her reprised role as the over-the-top glamour vixen was so successful that the company created numerous sequels around her persona.

In 1995, Fairchild returned to daytime soap operas as the catty Sydney Chase on The City. She played the role for a year, after which she went on to appear in General Hospital. She also made guest appearances on the hit sitcom Friends (as Chandler Bing's mother, Nora) and was a recurring guest star on the sitcom Cybill as Andrea, a rival of Cybill Shepherd's character.

Through the years, Fairchild has also appeared in various theater productions. More recently, she starred in the role of Mrs. Robinson in the stage adaptation of the film The Graduate. She also fronted an international advertising campaign for the consumer tooth whitening product Dental White (YouTube).

In 2005, Fairchild appeared in the competition reality show, But Can They Sing? on the VH1 network.

In 2006, she was cast in yet another of her "rich bitch" roles in the My Network TV series Fashion House, playing Sophia Blakely, a rival to Bo Derek's character, Maria Gianni. While studying at the Neighborhood Playhouse, Britton (then Womack) made her New York theatrical debut in Caroline Kava's The Early Girl at The Courtyard Playhouse. Britton's performance, while well received, nearly got her ousted from the Neighborhood Playhouse program, which prohibited students from taking professional employment during their course of study. After graduating, Britton spent two more years working in off-Broadway theatre productions. She moved to Los Angeles after the success of The Brothers McMullen. In her free time, Britton, who resides in both New York and Los Angeles, enjoys hiking, yoga, and doing volunteer work.

Britton had a regular role in Spin City as Nikki Faber from 1996 to 2000. Her character was written out of the show when Charlie Sheen replaced Michael J. Fox as the main character. Molly Kathleen Ringwald was born in Roseville, California, just outside of Sacramento, the daughter of Adele Edith (née Frembd), a housewife and chef, and Robert Scott "Bob" Ringwald, a blind jazz pianist. Ringwald has two siblings, Elizabeth and Kelly. She started her acting career at age five, starring in a stage production of Alice in Wonderland as the Dormouse. The next year, she recorded "I Wanna Be Loved by You," a music album of Dixieland jazz with her father and his group, the Fulton Street Jazz Band.
==Acting career==

As a child, Ringwald appeared in many local TV commercials and stage plays in the Sacramento area. In 1978, at the age of 10, she was chosen to play Kate in the West Coast production of Annie, performing in Los Angeles. In 1979, Ringwald appeared in the TV series Diff'rent Strokes and was selected to become a cast member of the spin-off Facts of Life. She played "Molly Parker," a perky, fun-loving student at Eastland Girls School. Although she had essentially a supporting role, one entire episode, "Molly's Holiday" revolved around her character dealing with the effects of her parents' divorce.

One of her many photo ads got her a screen test and a one-year contract at Paramount where she won the role of Richard Widmark's daughter in the comedy/western ''A Talent for Loving'' (1969).

Hammer Films CEO Sir James Carreras spotted Munro on a Lamb’s Navy Rum poster/billboard. He asked his right hand man, James Liggett, to find and screen test her. She was immediately signed to a one-year contract. Her first film for Hammer proved to be something of a turning point in her career. It was during the making of ''Dracula AD 1972'' that she decided from this film onward she was a full-fledged actress. Up until then, she was always considered a model who did some acting on the side.

Munro completed her contract for Hammer with ''Captain Kronos - Vampire Hunter'' in 1974. Directed by Brian Clemens, she plays the barefoot gypsy girl Carla. In Paramount Pictures DVD commentary, Clemens explains that he envisioned the role as a fiery, Raquel Welch type, red-head. Hammer pushed for Munro, and the script was adapted accordingly.

Munro has the distinction of being the only actor ever signed to a long-term contract by Hammer Films. She would later turn down the lead female roles in Hammer's ''Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde'', ''Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell'', and the unmade ''Vampirella'' because they required nudity.

Brian Clemens later helped her get a most memorable role, Margiana, the slave girl in ''The Golden Voyage of Sinbad'' (1974).

In 1977, Munro turned down the opportunity to play villainess Ursa in ''Superman'' in favor of what would become her most celebrated film appearance, the ill-fated helicopter pilot Naomi in the Bond film ''The Spy Who Loved Me''. In one of the franchise's most memorable car chase sequences, she seductively winks at Bond while trying to gun him down from her helicopter. In her role as Naomi, she holds the distinction of being the first woman ever undeniably killed by James Bond. Cubby Broccoli urged Caroline to make her way to America in search of more lucrative offers. She declined preferring to stay close to her family.

===Late seventies and eighties===
Munro continued to work in numerous British and European horror and science fiction films through the 1970s and 1980s, most notably ''Starcrash'' (1979) with David Hasselhoff, Christopher Plummer and Marjoe Gortner.

Munro's career continued to thrive well in the 1980s, appearing in many slasher and Eurotrash productions. Her first film shot on American soil was the William Lustig production ''Maniac'' (1980). This was soon followed by the low-budget shocker ''The Last Horror Film'' (1982), in which she was reunited with her ''Maniac'' co-star Joe Spinell. She had a cameo role in the cult classic slasher ''Don't Open 'Til Christmas'' as a singer (1984), ''Slaughter High'' (1986), Paul Naschy's ''Howl of the Devil'' (1987), and Jess Franco's ''Faceless'' (1988), followed in rapid succession. She reteamed with ''Starcrash'' director, Luigi Cozzi, for ''Il Gatto nero'' in 1989. This would be Caroline's last major film appearance.

Throughout the 1980s, Munro was often cited by the press as being a candidate for the co-starring role in a proposed (but never produced) feature film based upon ''Doctor Who''. In 1984, she signed a recording contract with Gary Numan's label Numa Records, and released a catchy dance single called "Pump Me Up".
