Topless?

I'm having trouble believing she has posed topless. Is there any proof? :-) NiceGuysFavoriteJuggs 15:15, 5 March 2007 (PST)

Well, take a look at this. Enjoy. Please remove this copyrighted picture after viewing. --Flaxapa 04:07, 6 March 2007 (PST)

Absolutely awesome! I have never been so happy to be wrong in my life! Thank you!:-D NiceGuysFavoriteJuggs 17:28, 6 March 2007 (PST)
You are welcome, buddy. She is one of natures marvels. --Flaxapa 02:04, 7 March 2007 (PST)

The great body-type controversy

The body-type field seems awfully subjective to me, but, thankfully, this isn't a site which wastes time arguing over whether things are strictly... ahem... "encyclopedic" or "notable." It's nothing I'd propose an edit war over either. Maybe we can reach a consensus. This model looks thin to me-- except, quite obviously, in the upper regions. I notice she's got a bit of a pot belly, but that hardly makes her "chubby" in my book. "Chubby" brings to mind well-filled-out models like Mariko Morikawa or maybe even Kimiko Matsuzaka. Am I in a minority here? Should we have a vote over what body-type to classify Fuko under? I say she's pretty thin basically, with a little tummy, and an enormous top. IMDb link

Is Fuko's full name Mia Fuko at the Internet Movie Database (IMDb)

? -Biguns 21:34, 17 March 2008 (EDT)

No-- that's not her. 2003 would have been too early for an appearance, and I've never seen "Mia" given as a first name. She did go by the name of "Love" before starting her gravure idol career. Dekkappai 12:53, 18 March 2008 (EDT)
It dawns on me that "Mia Fuko" is a pun ("Me-ah Fuck-oh"). Fuko's name, on the other hand, is just a happy coincidence. 風 (Fū) means "Fashion" or "Style" and 子 (ko) means "child" and is a common suffix for Japanese women's names. Whatever the name, this is certainly a fascinating subject. I think we owe it to Boobpedia to make this article better than the one at WP. I'll get to work on it and try to get it up to "Good" if not "Feature" status! Cheers! Dekkappai 13:36, 18 March 2008 (EDT)

AV

So she finally turned over huh? Apara 22:33, 8 January 2009 (EST)

It's been long-anticipated :-) Personally, I'd be happy with just nude shots, but if it has to be AV, so be it... I'm holding off adding her to the AV actress list till I see some actual photographic evidence (did see a brief clip)-- or until it comes out in February. Dekkappai 22:44, 8 January 2009 (EST)
I noticed it 20 mins go, when I was looking at torrents of Japanese AV videos. I saw that cover and didn't believe it until now. Apara 22:47, 8 January 2009 (EST)

Age

"Currently, she is no longer listed at the site, no doubt because, if either of the years of birth is correct, she was under-aged at the time these photos were taken"

This is BS. 17 is not "under-aged" under Japanese law. I know people like to pretend that the entire world is subject to American law, but it's not, and girls a lot younger than 17 have been photographed topless in Japan. Triplanetary 10:51, 14 January 2009 (EST)

This article can certainly be improved and sourced better. It was written when she first appeared on the scene, and their was next-to-nothing to find on her. A lot of speculation was involved. But you seem to be reading even more speculation into the article. I see no mention of law-- either U.S. or Japanese-- in the article. Japanese and U.S. laws and society are alternately more conservative and more liberal than each other on differing points. Tokyo Topless immediately removed the pictures and blocked them from archives-- a rare action for them-- and when the pictures were re-discovered, post-Fuko-debut, they caused a bit of a stir in the Japanese media (here for example). I see no real reason to change this sentence. But since it's speculation, it will probably be removed whenever the article is rewritten and sourced better. Dekkappai 13:47, 14 January 2009 (EST)
It's true that TT may have voluntarily pulled the set rather than because of any law, but the fact is that "underaged" is a legal term when it comes down to it. To most Americans it means 18 (and even this perception is hardly accurate), but it means very different things in other cultures.Triplanetary 13:50, 14 January 2009 (EST)
And besides legal definitions, social pressures come into play. I was reading the blog of one of these guys-- either the TT administrator or Cinema Unit GAS-- where he was reporting that his property was being vandalized by locals who didn't approve of what he was doing-- legal though it may be... This sort of thing led to Maichnichi Shimbun shutting down a column which translated Japanese tabloid articles into English. All "legal" according to the law, but the social pressures (and threats) said otherwise. Anyway, I agree it's a very iffy sentence, and I'll remove it when I get around to re-working the article. I wouldn't object if someone else deleted it either, as unsourced. Dekkappai 18:07, 14 January 2009 (EST)
Oh, also-- the media stir caused by the Fuko photos at TT were probably more due to the fact that it was evidence she had been working at a Soapland under the age of 18. (Legal or not, I'm not sure, but I think I've read that it's not.) Dekkappai 18:12, 14 January 2009 (EST)

Body type

She's not curvy anymore, rather slim.
